Here's a longshot, but anyone have a pair of Mizuno Wave Cup SS they'd be willing to let go in size US 8.5? Let me know. Thanks!
Honestly, it's for that outdated soleplate. It's been my favorite since the Ghost Striker 1. How do they fit compared to Morelia Neo? Maybe your size 9 will work for me, should you be willing to let them go.
Just wondering if anyone has ever removed an outsole from a boot for any reason? I'm thinking of attempting this on my MII Rebulas and 3D printing a new one with an AG type stud pattern. I have a feeling heat may be needed, jut not sure if this will make the rest of the boot fall apart. Why would I do this? Our fields are rock hard and the Rebula stud pattern kills my poor old feet - the studs don't penetrate at all. I have some Copa 17.1 AG's which feel great on this surface, shame Mizuno don't make AG Rebulas. We even had some guys wearing Adidas turf boots which have boost midsoles because it's so hard this year as we're in a major drought at the moment.
I have done it converting my Morelia FG to TF, it is a bit hard to remove the outsole(I did it with hot water) but to merge again the boot you will need a perfect last(shoe tree) to have the same fit again..
Since my monarcidas are getting close to their end, and I've decided to forget about the Wave Cups. I will now go back to the Morelia II. Just ordered these on Rakuten :
those red m2s are beautiful. i remember clarence seedorf wearing red adipures with white stripes for milan and thinking they were so classy looking with the red and black kit. these m2s have the same look. must not buy...
hahaha as a proud owner of one i'd say GO GET EM GUYS. THEY LOOK ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS. having said that, the metallic sheen on it seems to affect the material slightly, and i really really miss the pre-2015 m2s that had a more padded upper and slightly more weight and oomph.
WHAT? THEY DID?? That's like my only complaint about the Morelia 2, I wish they were a little thicker. And maybe had a bit smaller studs... Maybe it's my playstyle, but I seem to slip a lot whenever there's just a little bit of wetness on the pitch.
Right here goes most of you who chat to me on Instagram @thebootzone will know I wasn't happy with the Rebuka V2 MIJ when I got them when they were released as I found them very uncomfortable. I'm always a size US 8 with Mizuno no matter which boot btw. Anyway I decided to give them another go in the new black/gold colourway and ordered my usual US 8 & also a US 8.5. So they arrived today and I've had a chance to try them on around the house and compare them to my other Mizuno MIJ and especially my Rebula V1 MIJ. I've come to the conclusion that the Rebula V2 MIJ run half size small as only the half size up fits the same as the V1 MIJ and the rest of my Mizuno. I have made some little clips of the sizing on feet that I can send on Instagram if anyone is interested. Hope that made some sense, also has anyone else had this problem? Instagram @thebootzone
Oh wow, I didn't know they changed the upper slightly. I'll let you know what I think of them, as I also have a pair of black Morelia 2 from 2014. I would do a side-by-side comparison, but I purposefully left them in Belgium for when I play pick up games over there, in the summertime.
yeap, that's my complain too, would have preferred an upper as padded as the current legend 7s. right now i have no idea what to say about the morelia 2s, the leather feels almost as thin as the neo 2s.
