Are McT, Matic or AH injured? I am being tongue in cheek but if you are right in the injury assessment we could see one of those guys there
Sanchez pulled a hamstring in training and will be assessed ahead of this weekend's game. Likely to be out so Lukaku will surely resume his place upfront.
Bailly, according to Arlo White, our with a back injury. I guess that would explain his absence from matchday lineups. But does little to dispel the concerns about his inability to remain fit in the past year or so.
As if things weren't bad enough, Jones is having a scan for an injury he picked up over the weekend... www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2018/12/03/jose-mourinho-facing-defensive-crisis-problems-mount-formanchester/ Surprise, surprise. PhysioRoom are claiming though that both Smalling and Bailly could be back in training and with a chance in making the game Wednesday.
A few players have missed training today, making them doubts for tomorrow: Smalling, Dalot, Shaw, Darmian and Martial. The important question for a few of them though is whether they'll be available for this weekend and Pool.
We can apparently add a couple of names to put growing injury list (Valencia and Rojo). Although those 2 might not be major, but the timing and in terms of making up numbers, is not ideal in the least. Valencia may no longer be the player he once was, but his toughness is beyond doubt. Seeing the picture of the (very long and deep) gash on his leg after his rash tackle into Lato and the fact that he kept going and played the full 90 is pretty impressive (even if it obviously does not excuse that type of challenge in the first place). The injury list is getting dangerously long though (especially at the back). Sanchez and Lindelof are long term absentees. While Shaw, Smalling, Darmian, Dalot, Valencia, Rojo and Martial are all doubts at this time.
He clearly picked something up in training, in all likelihood. Based on his recent showings, it's actually a shame that he's not available right now, which could leave us with a real problem at FB potentially.
When you don't play for months and then are thrown into a competitive game for 90 minutes, that's asking for a muscle tweak.
The Times have confirmed that Martial is missing today's game vs Huddersfield because of food poisoning. Should be back for Bournemouth, which is good news.
Bournemouth would be difficult opposition. If pogs hadnt banged 2 goals we may had to settle for a point.
Compiled with our other missing players upfront, Martial was always to be a huge miss today and it showed. If Lukaku or Sanchez were available, we could have shifted Rashford out on the left, instead of having to play Lingard there. He's just not a wide player, whether it's on the right or the left. Martial should be back vs Bournemouth and that will be huge for us, despite them being a more serious test than Cardiff and Huddersfield. Lukaku probably returning will provide Ole some options.
He's returned to Manchester to complete his rehab, as he has to be close to returning, but he was slated to be out until early 2019. With any luck, he might have an outside chance for this weekend. TBD I suppose...
We need all the bodies fit and running so they can blend in and understand what Ole requires from them before we face PSG Citeh Liverpool Arsenal.
We're on our way to have a fully for squad to start the year and then there's a whole month plus to get ready for those big games. Don't see this as a problem and provided we don't lose anyone by that time, everyone should have come to grips with Ole's scheme.
Yeah just saw the post match press conference Ashur posted, looks like he will definitely play against Newcastle and good to know he is working hard on his fitness even in fuxing Christmas Day and Paul would have loved OGS words on him.

The latest injury update: Smalling and Rojo are still not available, Fellaini fighting to be fit for Reading and Pogs likely out, having picked a knock vs Newcastle. www.skysports.com/football/news/11667/11598444/paul-pogba-could-miss-manchester-uniteds-fa-cup-tie-with-reading Pogs is really not needed for this weekend. Might as well sit this one out and make sure he's back for Spurs.
Fred is not in Dubai with the rest of the team. www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/man-utd-fred-dubai-training-15645538
On the injury front, as mentioned already Pogs will be good to go. Smalling looks to be ready as well and in normal circumstances, I'd prefer him over Jones. But with no games under his belt, Jones gets the nod here, hoping he does repeat his last few Wembley displays. Bailly is serving the last game of his suspension as well. No news on Sanchez and his availability, even if he has been training away from the rest apparently.
Yep, it has to Jones over Smalling. Assuming, of course, Phil’s face has recovered. For me the only open question is Sanchez or Lingard. There’s no wrong answer, but I’d give the start to Sanchez...provided he’s fully fit. He was subbed off last week for what seemed a hammy but I haven’t read anything about that since.
