Nacional 22.544 90.176 Cucuta 18.750 75.000 Millonarios 11.764 58.819 DIM 9.019 27.058 Santa Fe 6.500 26.000 America 6.375 25.500 Deportivo Cali 5.323 26.615 Once Caldas 5.000 15.000 Atl. Junior 4.892 24.462 Huila 4.500 18.000 Deportes Tolima 4.495 22.474 Real Cartagena 4.375 17.500 Cortulua 4.000 16.000 Equidad 3.900 19.500 Dep.
Once again we bring many more fans then all the rest of the teams together But seriously, the situation isn't that good. in Cali you can explain the low attendence maybe because the game wasn't played at Pascual but also the situation of both teams effects the people naturally...Same for Millos fans, although I cannot understand Santa Fe's fans, who lead the table but barely come to the stadium. Excellent attendence at Atanasio from both teams, but the rest of the games are disgrace.... 700!! 700!! fans between Envigado and Cucuta, only 3,389 fans in Ibague, when both Tolima and Huila have good tournament so far...
Nacional and Medellin are Juggernauts in the aburra valley, Envigado doesn't have any fans, and that is unlikely to change, unless a damn good decade full of trophies happen.
That's why I like Medellin to be the home of the NT... You have the best fans... Was this game played at Cali's Stadium? That is another reason for the low attendances.. Most of the Stadiums are being remodeled for next year's U-20 WC... As I've told you before.. Millos has 15k diehard fans.. Santafue barely 7k... With all the issues regarding security, stadium, logistics and performance maybe half the fans will show up... (15k+7k)/2=11k In Colombia most cities have very low fan turnout... Only Bogota, Medellin, Cali, Cucuta and Barranquilla get 30k plus attendances from time to time.. Most other places, you'll be lucky to get 5k... Some teams will get 2k most of the games (Envigado, Quindio, Equidad, Chico, Tulua....) And that damn stadium is ugly as hell....
but only 700?!?!? I don;t understand, fans should support only when the team plays well?? And where are Cucuta fans? The team is doing well in the current tournament, but still in danger to relegate....Where are the same fans who supported in 2007 when the team reached to the Libertadores semi final?? Very disappointing.
What?.. i don't understand your rants on cucuta fans, they are averagen 18K per game this semester... efer...
What didn't you understand? I didn't speak about their home games, I'm talking about bringing fans to road games like Nacional does. There are games that our fans on the road are twice as the home fans. So Cucuta may not have the same fans number as Nacional, but they should come to support away from home too, especially whenthe team plays good.
its not fair to put Junior on the list considering they aren't playing at home really sad only 700 people go to Enviadgo games..... I had more people go to my indoor soccer games than that...
Crazed: Due to remodeling (for the 2011 U-20 WC), most teams are either playing at a different city/stadium or in half-closed stadiums: Yunio America Once Caldas Millonarios/Santafue A.Nal/DIM (although they played the clasico in a filled stadium) And I think also Pereira and Quindio... Sooo it is not fair to include 8 or 9 teams in the list... Of this cities, 4 were on the top 5 in attendances last year... Envigado, Equidad, Tolima and Chico have always had low attendances... So it is no news to have only 700 fans at Envigado..
Pibe10...the geo-distances and abrupt terrain makes border teams not to travel with fans as musch as centrally located ones.
I remember 2 years ago the road from Barranquilla to Cartagena was just 1 car going up and 1 down...... it was insane.... even in the hick towns the highway or road system isn't that f'd up
Thanks for the info, Efer ...I figuered that it's not easy to travel, I just don't think that it's justify 700 people....but then again, I've never been to Colombia, so I take you word on that. Also too bad for Tolima, such good team but barely see their fans in road games, and sometimes barely see their fans in Ibague.
