Singapore is ASEAN champions while China is EAFF champions & we both cannot be overthrown before we meet in the Asian Cup games

So it is meeting of Champions on August 16 & September 6

Is Singapore putting any real money behind its soccer programs? Would be great to see a strong Singapore side.

I confess I can't make much sense out of these numbers on their own, maybe someone (Greenlion? :) ) has the numbers of a different country as a comparison?

I think that comes out to about $4-5 spent on soccer development for every man, woman and child living in Singapore. Granted a lot of those costs for overhead, levies etc., but for a country like the US we have to spend about $1.5B USD on soccer development annually to have that kind of ratio. :D

These are more related to the football programmes but like mcontento say they have a lot of overheads in them so distorted

All these are used for Lions City Cup (Singapore age-group competitions) , NFA & COEs (Youth developments by FAS & clubs), COEs Leagues (U14, U16, U18), Prime League (U23) & S-league etc

The Sport School is funded by SSC & Government.

who could have known the August 16 (Tianjin, China)& September 6 (Singapore) meeting would now be so crucial in the Group of death

Singapore & China both cannot play away so which team gain an away point will take a step toward 1 of the 2 slot for AC 2007 finals
