He believes in sports myths and fairy tales. You can’t tell him otherwise, his brain is convinced.

In other news, Spurs about to dump Pochettino before Arsenal let’s Emery go. Unreal scenes.

If we sacked him now, who knows. Just like us during our 22 unbeaten streak last season, the stats suggest that Leicester won't sustain this level of finishing chances.

Luis Enrique is going back to Spanish NT, suggesting he's out of the running for us

I'm happy with that but it seems like I'm in the minority

Me too. I can't judge him off his success at Barca. He was awful at Roma prior.

"Here to introduce the new Arsenal manager is Sol Campbell. Sol, take it away!"

Yeah, the banter potential of Sol Campbell introducing Poch outweighs my reservations about Poch as a manager.

One thing is that Levy does appear to have balls.

Many around here have been moaning about Raul & Josh not doing squat about our coach, who finds himself in a not-too-dissimilar situation.

But I guess Poch was just that much further ahead in his downward trajectory, his blaming players and losing their support, etc.

Despite the hype, it's important to note that Poch has won as many trophies in a managerial role as Arteta has #justsaying #actuallyArtetaIn

They did play in Big Cup final last year (though were more than a little lucky to get there).

My reservations about Poch are due to how he burned his entire squad out. Some of that is on Levy, but Sperz have not been good the last 18 months.

Don't think it matters. My bet is Poch is brushing up on his German right now.

Yup. Or Italian. Or French. If not back to Spanish. IOW, I don't see him staying in England for his next gig.

Well, Sperz are paying Poch 12m to leave. Likely that the terms Sperz hashed out preclude him from managing another team in England for the remainder of his contract, or at least managing Arsenal.

For any of you who still harbored a little hope of Emery somehow changing his ways, his styles or his choice of language... after the interlull, after the coach of our archrival gets the sack... well, I offer you this evidence:

    https://www.arsenal.com/news/watch-unai-emerys-pre-match-press-conference

    Same old, same old.

Edit: When asked how he feels about 17pts from 12games, IIRC he replied saying we were in 5th place (actually he said "we are five"). When in fact we are 6th by GD. Certainly not a big deal, but also not something your head coach should be out of touch with I suppose.
