Despite the beatdown Atalanta put on Udinese, they still have a pretty good defense. I expect a slog of a game unless we can grab an early goal. Roma should have enough to see them out, but eventually the injuries and lack of ability to rotate the midfield will catch up to us.
I wouldn't jump to conclusions based off one game they played with a man down. Here is the reality of their start to the season and coming off such a hammering they will be up for it even more. It's possible we get a 2-0 win but it will be hard fought.
Odd that they had the best defense in the league prior to shipping 7 vs Atalanta. Atalanta is not a team you want to be playing with a man down for most of the game. They'd thump most teams in that situation. Definitely a midweek fixture we could do without so I'll take any kinda win here before we take on Nipoli.
They were terrible last season as well and would have been in relegation contention if not for a couple players. They are not a good team.
Igor Tudor came back and really turned them around in the 2nd part of the season. They played really well in the run in last year. This year they have been sluggish to start with and have not found form but have still managed to pick up points at home. I don't see an easy game ahead.
Table round of 8 Serie A 2019-2020: Matches of home Udinese: 1-0 Milan, 1-0 Bologna, 1-0 Torino My prediction for this match: Udinese 1-0 Roma. Score: Kevin Lasagna
I’ve got some good news for you. Official formation AS Roma(4-2-3-1): Pau Lopez; Santon, Smalling, Fazio, Kolarov; Mancini, Veretout; Zaniolo, Pastore, Kluivert; Dzeko pic.twitter.com/YJ8ioeY1AT— RomaPress (@ASRomaPress) October 30, 2019
The first error from Smalling with an underhit pass to Mancini. Leaves him with no option, other than to take the forward down and take an early yellow.
Worthy card for a professional foul. He is lightening and was straight through. Ref had no other option. Pastore almost scored a rocket.
2 udinese moves already resulted in pen calls. They look dangerous but out of nothing Zaniolo cool as you like.
He wasn't grabbed. It was an arm at chest level from a player slightly behind. Play through like a man. Refereeing is allowing these guys to go down and be soft 20-30 times a game
