Ranieri didn't play the same formation when he was at Leicester he used a traditional 4-4-2 there. He tried it with SES and Dzeko and it didn't work well and instead he went with 4-3-3 which the Roma players are familiar with. So yes he changed the formation to suit the players.

EDF did play different formations but he keeps making the same mistakes over and over again and still sticks to them. Major ones are Olsen playing instead of Mirante, Schick and Defrel on the right and high line defense with Fazio or Juan Jesus. The 3-5-2 was a disaster except for Barcelona's game. It cost's us bad against Liverpool and we played poorly against Milan with it.

Is Ranieri a defense minded coach compared to EDF? Absolutely! There is no arguing here. The difference between the two is the final result in the end of the game and this is why I called Ranieri's tactics are more mature than EDF.

I didn't get to watch this live so I watched it last night. I know I sound like a broken record but another solid performance by SES. The turnaround by Fazio has been remarkable.

Watching Mirante I'm so upset. If EdF would have played him starting in Jan I have no doubts we would have a CL spot locked up. He may not be the best distributing the ball but positionally he's nearly perfect and he organizes his defenders well. That one mistake by EdF probably cost us a CL spot and continuity at the coaching position. It really had a major impact on our immediate future.

Savorani was telling EDF that he should drop Olsen long time ago.

I was wondering how he condoned the shit we were seeing, makes sense that EDF was the idiot.

I get the feeling Mirante has benefitted a lot from working with Savorani

Seems weird from EDF to stick with Olsen despite Savorani, it’s not like he has any goalkeeping experience himself to evaluate him better.

Mirante was a pretty good GK before he got here.

You don't even have to try. I mean unless you were the biggest douche in the world wouldn't you tell Nike, "I'm flattered but thanks, I'll have to pass on these."

ffs... the conceded prick now has his own comic book where he is the superhero. The sad part is, he probably thinks he does have superhuman powers

He studded himself out to a hand picked surrogate mom for his twins. He definitely thinks he's superhuman.
