Nah man, @Andreas is a fraud. You've forgotten the bad times under him.

I nominate the one, the only..........

The best scenario now is if we finished 7. We dont want EL. I think if we fail to make any european competition, the most change will happen. We need to sell everyone. Manolas will most likely leave at end of season given his comments today. Only player we need to hold onto is zaniolo.

Need to build a decent side that knows how to play the game. It boggles my mind that a team like sampdoria are lightyears ahead of us when it comes to playing the actual game of calcio.

    Not a bad idea.

I could stem the tide by bringing back my stone cold lead pipe locks but @La Magica never truly appreciated my prognostication skills so he can suffer a bit longer before I consider it.

    Bank it.

Austini said on the Romapress podcast that Juventus are interested in Manolas. And he only has a 36m release clause. He's gone.

Day One at Sea: Loyal Subjects of the Great Lord Nelson vs SPAL (August 25th, 1775)

Rejoice Roma lovers! Now that Olsen, Nzonzi, Pastore and all those daft PSG lover lovers have walked the plank at my behest, we can once again rule the waves of Serie A, just as we once did under the stewardship of the great Sensi dynasty.

The continued presence of the vile 'American Heroes' is but a temporary nuisance. Like all my foes, they will be vanquished in time.

To those of you who don't want to qualify for the EL, do you realise that effectively to be supporting Roma's opponenets for the remainder of the season?

Better than being in EL next season.

Less fixtures will be a blessing

    Why is that?

You could use the same case for being in CL, or advancing in the Coppa. They involve more games.

The whole team doesn’t mutiny and blow a 3 goal halftime lead to a mid table team a season after pushing Inter to the brink without the approval of the captain and vice captain, or at least without them standing aside.

I’ve never made sense of how some ex players like Bojan or Marcos can continue to have love for the club after they’re sent away or Radja cry about leaving yet when here so many don’t give effort or display professionalism.

I’d rather focus on the league and Coppa only next season. Coppa isn’t bad but EL is brutal.

Coppa is local and has less fixtures. Can use it to give the kids exp until the more challenging rounds. EL more fixtures and it’s literally all over the place. Our squad sucks lol, we can’t take all that right now.

The Coppa Italia may be a little more prestigious but it pays a lot less than the EL. TV and sponsorship dollars are a lot worse than the Europa League. Even in Italy, few fans follow it. If you win it all, all you get is a spot in the EL so you risk quite a bit by focusing on it. What they should do is have the winner gain a spot in the Champions League but UEFA hasn't done that yet.

Fantastic post Sir, in the day I would have made you vice-admiral. We would have ruled the waves and crushed our enemies.

The Americans would have already been done away with at sea.

What do you mean by focus?

Based on your reasoning, you could argue it is better not to qualify for CL either.

I actually don’t care if we miss out on EL or CL, if it takes selling Manolas and half the team to get decent again I’d take it.
    Need to Sell
    Dzeko
    Olsen
    Fazio
    Jesus
    Nzombie
And Pastore forgot we had him

    Try and hold on to
    Manolas
    Under
    Kluivert
    Zaniolo

I’ll take the EL as long as Dzeko leaves

Are they actually blaming Olsen on that play? Mertens walked between three (maybe four?) defenders to tap in at the back post. Not great goalkeeping but much worse defending.

that goal was 100% Olsen's fault. It rolled right underneath him across the face of the goal. As usual he was 10 sec too late... falling as the ball went past him.
