Unfortunately I think it was too early in the season for a derby. Lots of cramps and neither team looked capable of keeping up with the intensity for 90 minutes. Lazio were pretty gassed by the 60th minute.

I thought Fazio-Mancini were actually ok. Florenzi was an absolute horror show. They picked on him all day and you can see why. Under made great runs but nobody picked him up.

Fun game for a neutral. We're going to have a lot of games that we see mistakes made in build up as we learn. In defence unless Smalling makes a huge difference prepare for madness in most games as very few teams will fear risking it and taking it to us. The back 4 were in rags positionally. This was like watching Zeman's tactics, especially in the first half. Our decision making in the final 3rd was terrible, trying fancy flicks when the better pass out wide was on. This is suicide considering the way we play - if we are going to play like that we will need 100% passing accuracy or we will be smashed on the counter attack Against Napoli, Juve and even Inter could be a cricket score this season if we play like that.
Our defense keeps playing like that Fonseca won’t last long. I won’t even mention who’ll replace him, but you all know.
