BTW VAR is a joke and the ref should have counted that blatant offside goal for Lazio in the 5th minute of the game, it wasn't worth the 15 seconds wait to check the replay, totally ruining football.
EDF doubters repent. Those stories of locker room discontent with him seem to have subsided as well...weird how that works. I was pleasantly surprised he was still available post-Spalletti. When I was advocating him taking over before Luciano began his second spell, part of my thought process was that EDF would get plucked by the time our next vacancy came up. Lucky for us.
Outside of the occasional El Clasico , La Liga doesn't get any run here. Oddly enough we get more Ligue 1, due to the French channels and a shit ton of Premier League of course. Serie A was carried by a small sports network years ago, but they got bought out.
It is feeling that way, isn't it. 2 points off the best start Napoli have had in their history, and we haven't even played that well until about a month ago. We are hitting form around the same time Juve tend to every season. I think we might have struck gold with Di Francesco.
Surpassed Poch at a comparable stage imo. His record in big matches at Tottenham isn't great and remember they were embarrassing in CL last year. EDF's first year in CL is miles better already. This is not me disparaging Poch, I'm a believer in him as well. But I think EDF could turn out special.
EDF probably had the better squad to start off with. Poch had to do some major surgery after Sherwood. I like both of them.
