Levante is a 2nd division team but they do get promoted and demoted very frequently, dont know if this is the best move for the captain

Re: Maurcio "El Joey" Arroyo News & Comments

de cuesta got black listed because he didnt resign a contract with Nacional... same thing Once Caldas did with Soto...

De La Cuesta has been playing almost a starter his whole time in spain and 1st div team wanted him but Cadiz didnt want to give him up

Levante or Real Cartagena...... to me go to spain make more money, and grow there. Its not like Real Cartagena is going to play any international competitions anytime soon.

I also dont get why everyone is against europe like omg Mido signed with Wigan .... Rodallega is DOOMED !!! These kids have to have competition and beat them in their euro clubs so that when they get called up for the NT they will be ready.

Everyone here hates Rodallega and thinks that Falcao and Renteria are undisputed starters.... Roda needs to work hard and be a starter for Wigan and do well there b4 he can replace Mido and in turn prob replace one of our starting strikers. Same thing with Arroyo... if he wants to be on the senior team he cant be in a place where their is no competition because on the SNT their is Amaya, Vargas, Sanchez, Guarin, Abel,Marrugo,Arango etc....

Re: Maurcio "El Joey" Arroyo News & Comments

Abel was on the SNT at 19 or 18 and was our best player in Copa America in Peru, then again when 20 at the Copa Oro and was our best player

this kid is just as good and needs good competition... holding them back because they might not make it is dumb. If he cant cut it in europe then he shouldnt be in or wont be on the NT. Its going to take him time to get ready in 1st division same as in spain but he will have better youth development there than in Colombia where he might get burnt out quickly like Cardenas who I dont think Buca will even get 12 pesos for him now

Slow down partner! IMHO, this kid is not even on the same field of as good as Abel as when he was the same age. It's not fair to Arroyo to make that comparison, because Arroyo is good, but not a once a longtime player like Abel was...

Arroyo may shout like Abel, but his distribution isn't nearly as quick or accurate. We didn't know Abel was THAT GOOD until he performed like a man child and bossed the midfield against senior Peruvian, Bolivian and Uruguayan sides in the Copa America. Arroyo may not have a chance to show us the like given how many options we have at that position in on the senior side.

He should stick around Real Cartagena instead of going to 2nd division anywhere!

Regardless of how he compares to Abel or not (i think they are very similar in quick reception and distribution) we saw what happened when Abel wnet to second division and how long it has taken him to get back on the NT radar despite playing amazingly on the NT and for those clubs.

He needs to get a little more nurtured in our first division first i think. But i like the kid very much and am curious how he plays and fits in with a more competent team like Cartagena than the sub 20.

I was wondering the same thing. He started maybe once the entire season, and was barely even a sub. I remember hearing he was pratically a leader while Cartagena was in the B, was this just a hype.

I really liked what i saw from him, could it be that after the sub 20 they just dumped him?

Hes played here and there for Cartagena this season. They usually never let him finish 90 minutes.

I think its a great move. there won't be alot of pressure on him and potential ascension to La liga.

Does anybody know about Tarragona? Would Arroyo have a decent chance of getting playing time?

great news the kid got his 1st start hope he uses the 2nd division well like Abel and Montano did.

Sadly his team is 9 points from promotion to 1st div so it seems he will stay there longer than we would like. Is his move a loan or do they spanish team own him?

Hows the kid doing in his Spanish Club?

Can we be positive that he'll switch clubs?
