Let's do this. Luiz is out and let's hope our team has gotten their red card issues sorted. We just need a consistent ref for that.
Good timing on the injury front but they are a club that has massive pockets and a squad to show - can cover injuries better than anyone. Still, we are on a high and it's a great way to see if we have genuine title ambitions or not. If we play close to how we did in the week we can get the result. All down to how we apply ourselves from the first minute and whether the midfield can counter their creative threats. PS did a quick thread title edit due to my limey ocd of showing the home team first
That's on me, I thought it was in Manchester. Don't trust Google I guess. How's our favorite Wet Spam fan doing? He liking Conte at least?
We've been winning since I stopped doing these. I'm happy to take one for the team. Mendy, Aguerro, Kompany, and I think Gundogan all out for City. Luiz out for his red card and Drinks with an injury. Drink some beers.
So Moses is dropped. Guessing Dave at RWB. Big one for Christensen. Here is today's team... #CHEMCI pic.twitter.com/UN68HS44NE— Chelsea FC (@ChelseaFC) September 30, 2017
Conte has some major tactical work to do at half time. Can't just swap players in without adjusting for them. They don't seem clear on how to attack without Morata to feed. Also need to work on those offsides. Too many to be ignored.
It's been coming. Poor all over the park today so far. Too many sloppy offside, too many loose balls, too few wide players to stretch them. As good as Wednesday was, this has been the opposite and a lot of it is down to the tactics for me.
Where was this effort earlier? Could have given them a proper match if we'd been more interested. So disappointing not to build on the atletico momentum. It does cement for me that our target is top 4 and some cup runs and that the Manchester sides are too far ahead. Aguero would have filled his boots today with the space we have up. 1-0 flatters us.
