This Philadelphia team reminds me of prior TFC teams, just kind of rudderless. Luckily, TFC have showed the Union how to fix the team: Spend 20 million dollars and be sure to bring in the MVP. Andre Blake is having a good game. Does Philly have any good, young homegrowns on the horizon?
STH code is UTHANKU. Union uses all subs early - Nogs, Barnetta & Le Toux in - Lahoud, Sapong & Ayuk out. Early 2nd half, Gaddis whiffs on a cross that leaves Altidore open on the doorstep to make it 2-0. Minutes later a long free kick by Maidana is headed in by hometown Vitoria. 2-1 TFC.
Gaddis is atrocious. Maybe he gets a pass since he just played 120, but he looks afraid to even challenge Altidore for the ball. Turning your back on a free kick like that is inexcusable. He's continually costing the team points, which would matter if it didn't suck.
So the Union are officially eliminated from playoff contention, can we please play some young players?
They started Ayuk. Who exactly are you looking for? Pfeffer stinks. I wanted Mcalaughlin to see some time until I realized that if he was good enough, he would have seen the field. News flash - he's not good enough!
I hate the Union's match recaps. Even if we look horrible, they always make the headline sound like we got unlucky. "Vitoria scores in hometown, but union fall." They need to just be honest..."Union Statistically Beaten in Every Category in Loss to TFC"
----------- - Missed it live, but didn't want to miss the chance to salute Victoria for his first and last contribution in a sterling Free-3 (pts.) career, short- lived though it may be. Marquez' OG the season's capper: the owner, staff and roster just suck so much.
Never even thought about how much Vitoria looks like the Property Bros., thanks for that @LuckyStriker
