Pffft. They are going to score on the Union either way, might as well amuse yourself by heckling them in the short time you have before the inevitable. Hell, the usual people that stay until the players leave the field gave the man a round of applause.
No the misplaced anger in TRE is the "hey ref" chant after nearly every single foul. Not sure if people are just yelling out of blind loyalty or bc they have no concept of the laws of the game. Either way they sound like idiots
Or the idiot that threw the can of beer at the assistant referee. Lots of dumb stuff happened last night.
So how come when we antagonize our team, they don't torch anyone? Wenger and Gaddis would be all stars.
I've said it before. It's because you can't see in the River End. Err on the side of getting in the ref's head.
Maybe on some of the plays, but there is a large majority where the foul was obvious, and TRE people still decide to scream at the ref. I stand by my original opinion that it makes us all look stupid.
Unfortunately, there are a great many in TRE that are stupid. Hence the reason the chant is so overused.
