#Bucklewatch is back in full effect. Check out what Warren Smith had to say... Love our boyz & believe they R much better than their results, BUT I do think 4 some reason the other teams want it more than they do— Warren Smith (@TheWarrenSmith) June 11, 2017
Smith later revised and extended his remarks... My comment wasn't fair. The boyz have had a tough road & they R fricken good. I just feel bad 4 them. they can turn around if they chose 2 https://t.co/5jOmEJioGF— Warren Smith (@TheWarrenSmith) June 11, 2017
Honestly, I think we need better players. Who is the player that makes us go? Who is the defender that is always in the right place at the right time? Who is the box-to-box midfielder? Which defender is going to stop getting caught too far up field stepping into a passing lane too late, exposing his fellow CB? Um, Chris? Which one of our speedy players actually is fast AND has the skill to exploit that speed AND can stay onside? Hello? Trevin? Who can we rely on to not pass the ball directly to an opponent? That would not be Jeremy. Who has the passion for the game for whom losing is not an option and can spur on his teammates? Ivan? Oh, yeah, we upgraded to J.J. Koval. By now, we've pretty much played everyone in the conference. Outside of the number of away/home games, our schedule has not been particularly difficult. Hopefully, some home-cooking will help. IMO, the bottom line is that the quality of the league is improving. The quality of our team is not.
Spot on, I think you hit it on the head. The team feels disjointed and could be for all of the reasons you mention. We do not look like a strong team against anyone really.
I understand that everyone wants to win every match, but it doesn't really work that way. Reno has now won four straight at home. Sounds like everyone (including Smith) was underestimating Reno.
It's not that we expect to win every game, it's that for what we pay into this club and having one o the top attendance/following, we should be one of the powerhouses of the league. We are far from that, we are basically in the middle of the pack scrapping for goals and points. Not even strictly results, the team looks disjointed and lost more often than not. It's worrisome.
fair enough, but mangerson hit the nail on the head - the rest of the league has improved & Sac-town are just a middle of the pack side
