I suppose it's time to change the "Rebuilding since 2007" slogan at the top of the forum.

Only a three years ago we were still seeking our first playoff appearance, today we are league champions!

Regular season champs, yes. The big prize is the MLS Cup.

In soccer the big prize is winning the league. The MLS Cup is basically just the FA Cup played after the season is done.

True but to the casual North American sports fan and the media, no MLS Cup means they choked.

To each their own I guess. Others will have their own preferences, but for me the Supporters Shield is the big prize.

Yes, it was about 10 days ago at home to Montréal ;)

Kidding aside, how long till the “clinched the shield” hangover ends so we can start to try and figure out how/why our previously stingy defence has leaked 9 goals in the last 3 matches.....2 of which were at home!

Shield won't arrive in Toronto until Oct. 15. Has to be shipped here from Dallas.

You would think that they would have had it at the ready on Saturday.

Considering that the crowning has been delayed for a week or two, FC Dallas fan group may not want to waste time on logistics at this juncture of the season, until it's mathematically confirmed. :)

I put them on equal footing. The SS is more definitive of who the best is but because it's not a balanced schedule it throws things off. Although the East was much harder this year therefore it was a harder road to win it then if the West was stronger.

MLS Cup is about who has more mettle and will to win under high pressure.

Better to lift it in front of Montreal
