These guys must be getting exhausted. Hopefully Gio is back to give Jozy some much deserved rest, he's been Beasting all season.
there is only one TFC player that has played every minute of every match....it is he that I want rested this weekend.
seems the obvious choice. Bradley is a hard guy to remove because he is always "up for" a match/battle...but someone has to convince him that these 90 minutes are nowhere near as important as the 90s we hope to get from him in October/November....and leaving a bit of gas in his tank is good for us.
For this game I'd have Cheyrou and Edwards start in place of Bradley and Osorio. Gio for Altidore. I'd also want to give Haglund a rest.
Osario is doubtful for this match..... I am less fussed about resting Haglund, there will be lots of opportunity to rest/rotate him once Moor gets back.
Cheyrou, Delgado, and Vazquez in the midfield three would be a good combo for this match if you wanted to rest Bradley.
We have nothing to fear today......Minnesota United will be torn down just like every other thing that ever appeared in Canada with a Target logo on it.
Toronto won 3-2. great to see Rickettts scoring the winner and equaling his tally from last season but with less games played. 2016- 3 goals in 11 games 2017- 3 goals in 10 games also 2nd consecutive game that he scores the winner and with that 6 pts.
I hate to say I told you so but today's Bradley was the worst I have seen for as long as my old brain allows me to remember.....and the number of passes he left about 1 yard short of their intended target screamed "fatigue" to me.....but he remains an every minute man.
A very exciting game to watch and a good final result. Two points of concern: First, while our defence was solid against the slow build up it was very vulnerable to the quick break attack. Minnesota could have won with better finishing. A team like last year's Impact would have killed us. Second, Cooper. Why is he playing when we have so many other midfield options? Someone needs to tell him this is a team sport, not an individual skills competition. It's okay to pass rather than trying to dribble through six opposing players on his own.
until they switched to the 2-5-2 when the score was 2-2...yes he was....after that, honestly, I am not sure what position anyone was playing.
