So a great matchup on Canada Day. The fans will be pumped to see TFC up against a good opponent on the country's 150th birthday and, what's that? Stupid MLS schedulers!

And an away game to top it all off! Too bad Canada Day didn't fall mid-week, having the Canadian championship decided on Canada Day would have added another layer of epicness to the win over the Impact.

    Big game.

Chicago is breathing down our necks and we have to go to one of the toughest places to get a win.

Both fullbacks have been poor today. On one hand, you want to cut them some slack given that it's Morgan and Alseth. On the other hand, those two goals were too easy for Dallas.

Now we have to open up even more to chase the game against a team that cut us open with two long passes.

We made their first 2 goals extremely easy. It looked in the second half that we would tie it up and I felt if we did before the 80th that we would find a winner but we got countered for the 3rd. Credit to the team for not giving up and making a game of it but 2-0 down early isn't easy to over come in one half alone. Horrible goals to let up Bono was completely hung out to dry.

Chicago is in first now, we have to chase with tough road games ahead. Seems like our schedule has been nothing short of difficult this entire time and I wonder where is the lite portion? Oh that's right, it comes when Bradley, Altidore, Morrow, Edwards, Osorio, Cooper are all at the Gold Cup....great.

The first goal was all on Zavaleta. Never got on his horse to stop the Dallas scorer. And though maybe Morgan cough have done a better positioning job in cutting out the Diaz pass, Mavinga's positioning angles were wrong and he never caught up to Lamah in the end.

There definitely was a fall off with the wingback play going forward.

Fortunately for us, Bradley and Altidore have not been called into the US 23-man roster, although could be called up later if needed.

TFC are off for the duration of the group stages. If recent Gold Cup performances are any indication, that means that the Canadian players should be back in time to play for the game on the 19th. Or if Canada advances to the knock-out stage, they could be back in time for the game on the 22nd. So, really we could be looking at losing only Cooper and Morrow for a significant period of time. Cooper isn't a regular starter and Morrow has a decent backup in Morgan.

I'm counting on Canada advancing out of the group stages.

It's annoying to lose players but I'm okay with it because I want to see Canada do well. It's also indicative of having a good team when your players are getting called to national teams.

I think that we have a pretty decent chance at making it to the knock outs. It's likely that we'll finish third in our group, and the field of other potential third place finishers isn't all that strong, and face overall tougher competition than we do.
