Please note: the TFC logos on the other side of the graphic are placeholders until we find out who their opponents in the semifinal will be.

I've heard nothing about it yet (which probably means no) but, do you think there's any chance they'd go to expanded capacity for BMO Field? There's time before this home game and the potential of two more home games to follow.

Now that it's playoff time, and with TFC riding the crest of their record season, I wouldn't doubt it.

Good to know that 3 of TFC's 4 remaining games this season will be played at BMO. And that there is no chance that their one remaining road game will be on artificial turf.

1000 temp seats and standing only added to the north end. I doubt they will expand the south they just had that up last year for the grey cup. But if we go on to the conf final combined with Argos playoffs who knows?

last year's expansion was expensive and took weeks to build....but with MLS playoffs and Grey Cup and NHL outdoor match it was worth doing well in advance.

This year it makes no sense...I suggest the 1k seats in the north end are all you will see between now and the end of the year.

Jeez, wouldn't it be something if TFC faced Columbus in the ECF?

If this really is the last hurrah for the the Crew, whether they get there or not (and it looks like they might), they're making it a damn good one.

A RB v Crew Eastern Final would be a real shocker too!

I hope I am wrong but I have a bad feeling about today.....i get the sense that conditions are going to be poor (something that would favour them) and there may be delays because of lightening (also, I think to their benefit) and, lets face it, there really was not much between the two sides in the first leg.

a 2 - nil road win in that situation would not be a shocker.

Why do poor conditions favour RBNY?

Poor conditions often favour the less skilled team...become a bit of a leveler ....but it is a bit of a non factor so far

Ruh roh. The Red Bulls are up 1-0.

    Tied 2-2 on aggregate.

TFC better not concede another one.

Altidore's dive was pretty shameful. Now I'm starting to sympathise with all those Yanks who keep booing him.

Kljestan,on the other hand, deserves a red just for that moustache.

    And that's it.

NY wins the match 1-0 and levels on aggregate 2-2, but TFC advances because of away goals.

Hoo boy. That was a close one.

Not exactly an impressive series win. But I'll take it. Factor in that there were two TFC goals called back, the RBNY goal as a complete fluke, plus the ref failed to give BWP a second yellow for the intentional handball, it's not as bad as it looked

    Bring on the Crew!

NYCFC wins 2-0, but lose 4-3 on aggregate.

This is the part that confuses new folks in North America to our sport.....soccer playoffs are the only ones in NA where two teams can win on the same day and both be eliminated!

I believe there was a time many, many years ago where the CFL used to do home and home games with an aggregate score

Yes....before the attention spans of the people watching now ever kicked in though....to the current sports viewing audience this is "foreign"

....and, I think, strangely they only did this in the East....with the West, instead, having a best out of 3 series!
