AR gets the big offside decision right early. TBF it was one of those "obvious" off by a yard ones.

Want to see it again but I think the line was painted wrong on the screen. Looked offside to me.

Bad call...onside. Mexico loses out on a good goal.

Hope you're right, but the one look we got screamed "even."

I'm watching on an iPhone screen so I won't be much help here, but definitely interested in a screenshot of that.

    Bad news bears potentially, though.

Well, so much for this game taking away from the poor one yesterday. I hope this isn't a small snowball forming. Mexico should be one up.

It's clear in the replay, but probably hard to call when seeing it live.
Although I often miss the "when in doubt, don't call offside".

Every call we're going to complain about over the next month is hard to call when seeing it live.
    But still...

The one look we got was from a bad angle, though. I've seen enough of these videos from multiple angles to believe I need a better one to decide the AR (who looked to be in the perfect position) was wrong.

On this pace we should roughly 20-25 offside calls this game. Yikes! This game is shaping up to be a good one.

He was on. I saw the player in the center of the field but it was the player closer to the AR that kept him on.

    On.
Kept on by the man at the near side of the box

He looks to me to be leaning just a hair beyond the 2LD...but boy is that ever tight.

EDIT: well, I just missed the guy on the near side of the PA. As did the AR, I'll wager...

Lets be clear though. GDS was in an offside position a tenth of a second after the ball was played. Unless were going to use video replay, humans can only do so much.

In the gif from Code1390 look at where the AR is positioned. It looks like he's .5-1 yard off the line. In that position he more than likely would see the Mexican attacker all alone, looking like he's over the "line" when in reality he's not properly lined up.

I thought both offside decisions were correct, or could have been. It looked like the torso was level, but the head could have been over for all we know. Not a good enough angle to say for sure.

Should have been a penalty for CAM though.

Thats a foul even if he won the ball. IMO

Rugby tackle on Cameroon's corner that should've been a penalty, missed . . . At least it's even I guess.

    The announcing... it burns.

"Good tackle" while he concedes he shows the bottom of his studs, which then absolutely clatter into the Mexican player. Perfect foul call and some might argue for a yellow there.

I have to say, Roldan is doing pretty well. If his AR didn't let him down on that one call, he'd be in great shape. Of course, that one call was a huge letdown.

Yeah, 2LD is the player closer to the AR. That blue line doesn't quite look parallel, and it's very, very close, but from that angle I think it's a good goal. That angle doesn't let me see where Dos Santos' back leg is planted, so I could imagine the photo coming out later that proves the AR was right. But, the simpler explanation is that the AR missed the defender away from the play.
