10 pm (ET) Wednesday at Reliant Stadium in Houston, TX; TV = Univision.

Last game of the group stage, and also the best matchup? Depending on how things go, Mexico could be eliminated with a loss.

If Mexico loses Hugo had better take the first plane to Madrid and lay low until the Copa America starts. It would be great to see his press conference if Mexico loses. He'd probably blame the loss on the time differenced between New York and H-town.

Hugo Sanchez already said the the field at Reliant Stadium is as bad as the one at GIANTS. That the "USMNT" is setting them up for failure.

Hugo should really stop complaining about the field.

Although Guimarais also complained about the field in New York.

They should have atleast told them that they were not permitted to practice on the field last night, instead of having them go to Reliant and only look around for 20 minutes.

Even the greatest field in the world wouldn't fix bad coaching. That said, the Mexican players are still dangerous on the field, even if they are playing badly. I think Panama has an even better team than Honduras, so if I were to use pure logic, Panama takes the win. Even then, Mexico could still go as best third if Honduras wins and they don't lose by 4 goals, and that would set up a Mexico-United States quarterfinal.

One thing is for sure, though: No Blanco tonight:p

Honduras played on the same field as Mexico so how is that an excuse for the loss?

Mexico needs a win or draw to advance. In addition, Mexico would go through if they lose by less than 5 goals and Cuba loses or draws. In order to win the group, Mexico would need a win and a Honduras loss.

Panama is already through to the quarterfinals. They can win the group with a win or draw.

I would never want to give Hugo credit for anything, but he's right about the pitch. I'm watching HON-CUBA right now and it looks like crap.

Not quite, Panama needs all three points to win Group C due to Honduras' win.

UPDATE: Boos to all the people making noise (air horns, etc.) during Panama's national anthem. You got to let both teams hear their anthem. Show some class.

Has Mexico forgotten how to play?

What's going on... Why are they trying to run with Panama?
