I guess a lot of the posters who used to watch this show checked out, but I have found season five to be quite enjoyable so far. The change of setting might have hurt the show, but so far it has proven to be just what they needed. The Fitz-centric episode (the latest one) was probably the most enjoyable hour this show has provided since we got the similar Gemma episode in which she was stuck on that planet by herself. I even enjoyed how they squeezed both a Star Wars reference and a Half-life reference into the final minute of the episode, and both of them made sense within the narrative of the story.
The timeslot threw me so I have it piling up on my DVR. I also considered watching the disaster that ended up being put in the Friday night death slot first, but haven't gotten around to it. I might do it over the next week.
I watched the last season on Netflix recently and was pleasantly surprised, I'd checked out after the first episode when it initially aired. But we ditched our satellite provider last summer, so...guess I'll wait until Netflix gets this season to watch again.
I'm digging this new storyline, but am really interested in how they're going to integrate [redacted] into the show.
Just an FYI, you can download and watch just about any TV show you want by going to several websites. You can stream or download shows and movies. You don't need a cable or even Netflix subscription, only a fast internet and a downloader (e.g. Internet Download Manager). From Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/Piracy/comments/5ctp8h/warezbb_and_tehparadox_alternatives/ http://www.alluc.ee/ (Search Engine - I recommend host "Openload") http://www.rlslog.net/ (games, appz and ebooks, no tv shows or movies tho) http://www.ddlvalley.cool/ (very good alternative for everything) http://www.puzo.org/ (close to tehparadox and clean site) http://hralinks.info/ (Great for TV shows- requires a free login setup) https://ganool.is/ (average streaming site with some spam popups) https://uhdmv.org/ (Best site so far for movies) https://www.skidrow-games.com/ (great for games) http://rslinks.org/ (very good site for everything) http://tuserie.com/ (good for movies and tv shows) http://bonzai82uhd.xyz http://www.warez-box.com http://www.hdtshare.com http://onkyo4k.com http://www.m-hddl.com I found this free website, with good quality movies (current, no oldies): http://movieswbb.com/
So it took me until now to figure out that the actress who plays Sinara also played Julie Mao on "The Expanse". I only figured it out due to IMDB (which I checked because it was driving me crazy that I remembered her from something but couldn't figure out what it was). That blue make-up really plays tricks on you!
Interesting end to season five. Does this mean that Coulson and May won't be back for the shortened season six? Also, are they going to save Fitz by tracking down the version of him that is currently in cryogenic stasis? The version of him that traveled to the future that way?
Clark Gregg seems convinced that Coulson's appearances in Season 6 [if any] would most likely be limited to flashbacks and/or hallucinations, but with Marvel anything is possible. As for May, it would shock me if she didn't return to the team. And yes about Fitz.
It'll be a shortened season 6, so I could see them limiting Coulsen's appearances. They did say that it will deal with the aftermath of Infinity War.
It's supposed to return in the Summer of 2019 if I understood that correctly? That's a pretty long time to wait.
After Avengers 4 would make more sense; starting the season before it premiers would essentially defeat the purpose of the unusually long gap between seasons. Sources cite Summer 2019, and the Avengers is scheduled to be released on May 3, 2019, which could even liberally could only be considered the beginning of summer. I suspect that the show will take at least a few weeks to allow audiences to see the film [and to perfect its own response to it] and then begin the season. The fourth Avengers movie is essentially going to be Infinity War Part II [as it was originally intended to be named before they opted for a more spoilery yet-to-be-announced unique subtitle], so it would be wise to address the two films' net impact taken together. The ending of Infinity War is almost certain to be at least partially undone [bear in mind that the show has already introduced time travel to the MCU]. Considering that makes me less annoyed that the show in no way acknowledges the film's ending, seeming to cram so many concurrent events into the fairly small amount of time over which the events of the film seem to take place. The way I see it, the fix/timeline reset that will probably be made in the fourth movie may in some form already be in place by the end of the series finale.
Now that Netflix has the season I'm watching it, and...I'm really enjoying it. Just finished the Fitz-centric episode mentioned by the OP, and yeah, I loved it. Sure, a lot of the details strain credulity, but...that's pretty much the nature of a comic book and by extension shows/movies based on such. Definitely been looking forward to seeing each episode after the previous finishes.
I've chosen to remember the show as it is from the first five seasons. The trailers weren't really grabbing me with the done-to-death "evil twin" trope, and they lost me completely when they announced that after tying into the beginning of Infinity War in Season 5, they decided to essentially completely sever ties with the MCU going forward. https://www.digitalspy.com/tv/ustv/a27361872/marvel-agents-of-shield-no-avengers-endgame-crossover/ https://www.digitalspy.com/tv/ustv/...eld-ming-na-wen-confirms-series-departed-mcu/ Given that a primary premise of the show was that it was a part of the world of the Avengers ("#itsallconnected"), if only tangentially, I'm too stubborn to accept them dispensing with that, especially after putting nearly a year between seasons. The popular interpretation of that announcement was that the delay would enable the show to address the net effects of Infinity War and Endgame together, and I gladly would have waited another few months if that's what it took to do that. The Season 5 finale was titled "The End". I'm content making it so in my mind.
