Maribor v. Liverpool - 2:45pm E - Matchday 3​

Some very lax thread starting lately. We have a must win Champions League game today against the supposed minnows of our group - Slovenian Champions - Maribor.

Liverpool have won once in 8 games - which is, frankly, pathetic. We blown 2 leads in the CL games as well and sit on 2 points. We have essentially a home and away with Maribor and must get all 6 points.

Klopp has said - sorry can't rotate heavily given our current situation. However, Calamity Karius will be back in goal.

 

Henderson gets a rest in advance of Spurs?

 

Now I remember why I hated when Fox had the PL and now the CL games - apparently our game has been moved to Fox Soccer Plus (pretty sure no one has it anymore). So dumb.

So far - Firmino, Coutinho and Salah

 

if we have any brains (save the jokes) and take the 3-0 to the half - we can rest salah for the 2nd half in advance of Spurs. Probably Coutinho and Firmino too.

 

hmm - getting run around a bit the last 5 mins.

Karius with a smart save on a more difficult than it looked shot.

It doesn't matter who we play - we never look assured at the back.

 

Much better last 7-8 mins - we've slowed it down and taken some air out of the game.
