Netherlands is a mess now trust me. Their administration, coaching and the league. If there is a good manager he'll definitely coach them over us.
If we were to go Dutch there's Giovanni Van Bronckhorst. Might be a decent gamble. He won the league with Feyenoord. He didn't do too well this season though.
shouldn't we look for candidates in Eastern/Central Europe? I feel there are lot of underrated coaches in that part of the world.
I found someone! Felice Mazzu. He inherited the team Charleroi in March 2013. That team was newly promoted team and was 11th place when Mazzu was hired. During that season they got rid of 2 managers. Since then he finished: 2013-14: 10th 2014-15:6th 2015-16: 8th but won the Europa league playoff. 2016-17: 6th 2017-18: 3rd Regular season only.
YOOOO I FOUND SOMEONE GOOD!!!! @Seol Korea Let's just call him Senol Gunes prodigy. He worked as his assistance since the beginning of Gunes' management with Besiktas (June 2015). Now he manages Goztepe. Goztepe was a promoted side this season but they finished 6th this season. His name is Tamer Tuna. He's 41 as well.
Guys, how about Héctor Cúper? The seasoned Argentine is currently the manager of Egypt national team (a post he held since 2015). Managed various club teams in Europe (Spain, Italy, etc.), including notable teams in La Liga and Inter. As for international teams, he coached Georgia for a year.
Loco Bielsa or bust. We need his high press tactics to replace the bag of tricks this shithead is pulling
I would love Loco Bielsa as our manager, but he is pretty hotheaded, and knowing the KFA's mindset and attitude, shit will hit the fan quick thus Bielsa making a quick exit as usual.
While 3-3-1-3 is his preferred formation, i dont think he’ll be as cookie cutter as with the other teams he’s managed (especially with the talent he had at his disposal) It’s the manager’s job to find the right formation according to the team’s strengths and korea obviously doesn’t have any talent to play 3 atb. It’s a pipe dream of mine though.. i loved watching his high energy tactics that made matches much more interesting
Well it's hard for me to gauge how good an assistant manager is going to be but he did work with Klopp for such a long time, he might be a good manager.
after the world cup korea is facing asian opponents for the next 3.5 years. bielsas philosophy is getting in-prime players to cover every inch of the pitch. korea just dont have a use for coaches like him at the moment. what korea needs is an accomplished coach with winning history who can get this team to play with confidence again. after that its ability to incorporate younger players into the team naturally over the course of the world cup cycle. tacticals come very last at the end
I was on a work call where these clueless Americans were shitting on our KNT. As much as I can't stand STY, fck this. We're now in the world cup. Our first two matches are against two mediocre opponents. I want us to just win even if we are stuck with STY for another few years.
Tell these Americans their team isn't in the world cup and finished below Panama and Honduras. They couldn't beat T&T b team.
