Game over, not a good game for us. Front 3 were shut down and the midfield did not impose themselves n the first half.

Sometimes the game confuses me - the last 20 minutes after the goal - while we had all the possession - it didn’t seem like there was any urgency. Especially when Lallana came in. He was so ponderous on the ball.

You have to give Mourinho credit. He got the better of us today. Since Klopp arrived, Mourinho is the manager he’s had the least success against. Pep and Wenger refuse to change their style of play against us and we end up putting 4 goals past them. Man United don’t have a style play. Jose’s tactics are always focused on the opponent and not the strengths of his own players. Our press was non existiant because they just played it long. Two goal kicks for goals in the first half, and bring on the team bus at halftime. Once they go ahead he always gets his result.

Liverpool wasn’t good enough today. The goals we conceded were unforgivable. We were easily opened up by goal kicks. We were lucky that Mata didn't score a thrird. As soon as one thing goes wrong our defense starts to unravel. Lovren is the main culprit. He is not mentally strong. He’s been in great form, but today was not his day.

We were better in the 2nd half, but they defended really well. Salah was constantly surrounded by 3 players.

    So dissappointing.

Just what I was afraid of - they score first and it becomes so much more difficult...
I can’t understand how the lads are not up for this game, but that’s what it looked like to me...bad passes all over the field, missed tackles and bad marking...and it wasn’t just one player...no real urgency...
13-1 on corners and did we really even come close to scoring?
Dang frustrating...and JoMo gets another over us...

    FT 2-1 to the Mancs.

Hard to pick anyone who stood out for us. Not that we were bad but could not show that extra bit.

So the fight for fourth is on.

They scored on two of their three chances. We had enormous possession but after the two goals they had 8-9 in the box the whole time. It was so crowded that they had to score for us.

I saw 3 clear penalties. Or they would be for Spurs. Young drags back Salah with a fist full of shirt. Valencia with a clear hand ball on a cross headed straight toward Mane. And finally right in front of the ref Fallani fouls Mane.

So for players. Young TAA at fault on the first. Poor original position and worked by Rashford. On the second Lovren screws up marking Lukaku and the ball is cleared to Rashford. No one else to blame here. Except I thought Karius might have done better.

Neither FB gave us much today. We needed more effective width and didn’t get it.

I asked for Lallana to replace Ox. I know not why. Completely invisible was Adam.

Can and Milner did fine in the midfield but they really can’t pick a pass.

Salah had three people on him at all times. And with the Mancs settled in he had no chance to counter.

Firmino played his regular game. So did Mane — some early crap passes but great energy and made the OG

Karius. Like I said I’d have liked him to get in the way of the second. Played ok otherwise.

Solanke and GW gave us nothing.

So we fight again next week. And we pull for Sevilla on Tuesday.

You win some and you lose some! YNWA

    Groan.....
I didn't wake up until 5:15. Bad omen.

Once they scored we knew it was an uphill battle. Jose had time and space to smother our 3 forwards.
Then when Owen goal struck I had hopes for a draw.... All the way to the 96 minute.

Those PK calls were fouls anywhere else on the pitch.

You can't say that.....you'll have the weight of the "impartial" FA refs panel down on your head.

I have little faith on us scoring from corners when our 2 centre backs can't head the ball.
VVD doesn't attack the ball. He cushions it and let's it bounce off the top of his head.
There, I said it. Get a f*cking heading coach.
