Miki shoots a fair bit. And scores a fair bit too. Though I remember Hleb's pirouette in the box to score against Fulham in the opening match a few years back.
for me, it's that whole group (fabregas, rosicky, and hleb). they were intelligent players who played with their heads up and made intelligent plays without the need to try to do fancy things . . . i think you finally summarized what i like about iwobi that i hadn't been able to put into concrete thoughts.
stylistically different but i think bigman was referring to the fact that they both were playmakers from out wide rather than a proper wide man.
that's the catch, isn't it? the one big thing i have hope about is that a lot of our other youth prospects have excelled on their athleticism or technical prowess where iwobi, while a good athlete and technically good, really excels based on his footballing intelligence.

He's 20. Forget about scoring, he needs to shoot from better positions. When he does shoot, the positions are terrible.
????? Shoot from better positions means he scores goals. When he starts scoring, his defending won't be an issue.
Also, Iwobi not scoring right now isn't a huge deal because Alexis and Walcott have been excellent this season. Iwobi does need to stop shooting from places where his shots get blocked though, and he does need to run in behind more: if we're playing Alexis at striker and Ozil at the 10, someone has to run in behind from the left.
Ozil has been doing that. im not disagreeing. I think my issue was that we were saying the same thign.
Ironic doesn't need to score IMO if he learns to track back and maintains his offensive creation output He reminds me a bit of hleb in that regard Either way he is exceeding expectations and is a quality young player
