So, Robles was very good against DC. However, has anyone noticed lack of comaraderies between him and the teammates? I didn't see much in terms of congratulations when he stoppped the PK> Usually, keeper gets mobbed by congrasts in that situation. Also, in the second half when he got hurt and was rolling on the grass, didn't see many NYRB players around him. Did any notice the same, or am I imagining?
Might just be the kind of guy he is, not sure if he's shown a hint of emotion since stepping out there. I wouldn't look much into it.
had no idea that he even had a USMNT cap: http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/artic...uis-robless-long-journey-germany-obscurity-an Like many kids of his generation, Robles grew up at a time before MLS was really established and long before it had started to ascend as it has in recent years. He dreamed of playing for a big club in Europe. In pursuit of that, after leaving early from the University of Portland, he signed with FC Kaiserslautern in 2007 at the age of 22. Over the next three years, he worked his way up from the reserves and into sporadic minutes with the first team. That caught the notice of the US national team's then-head coach, Bob Bradley, who gave Robles his first – and to date, only – cap in the summer of 2009 at the Gold Cup.
always trust the Mrs: http://www.nytimes.com/2015/11/01/sports/soccer/in-goal-for-the-red-bulls-an-unlikely-ironman.html But Robles’s wife insisted he contact M.L.S. one last time. “She says, ‘Why don’t you just Google ‘Major League Soccer’ and call them?’ ” Robles said. “I’m like: ‘You’re crazy. It doesn’t work this way.’ She told me how it works wasn’t working either.” So Robles called the league. And someone picked up.

Does anybody have a list of the goalkeepers with the most consecutive minutes? Who had the old record? I didn't find it in the 2016 MLS Fact & Record Book.
I think the record was Hartman's. Not sure who else would be on that list. EDIT: It was definitely Kevin Hartman's record (112 games).
http://nypost.com/2016/05/29/red-bu...al&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=buffer The hook to the Robles story is that, when he was acquired by the Red Bulls through an allocation draft process in 2012, he arrived in a state of psychological ruin after a rough ending with the German club, Karlsruher, for which he played two seasons. Robles, who grew up in Fort Huachuca, Ariz., as the son of a Puerto Rican father and Korean mother, had been benched by the fourth head coach Karlsruher had in the 2010-11 season. He thought his playing career was all-but over.
