    Snip:

Marquette soccer has a big hole to fill in 2016, as midfielder Louis Bennett II is forgoing his senior year of eligibility to turn pro. He’s signed a three-year deal with Anorthosis Famagusta FC, which plays in the top-tier league in Cyprus.

    One more:

Bennett II, the son of Marquette coach Louis Bennett, recently completed an 11-day training session with the Cypriot team, Anorthosis Famagusta.

The 21-year-old Bennett II agreed to a three-year deal, according to his father.

“I had to put on my dad hat, coach hat and gnarly old pro hat,” said the Marquette coach. “He had an opportunity to be in the squad of 20.”

    Home:

The Swope Park Rangers announced on Friday they had signed midfielder Louis Bennett II. Bennett II signed his first professional contract with Cypriot outfit Anorthosis Famagusta FC in August after three years at Marquette University, and will join the Rangers pending the receipt of his International Transfer Certificate (ITC) and USL and federation approval.

    ...

Internationally, Bennett II is a former member of the U.S. Under-20 National Team, and also spent time training with FC Cologne in Germany and AIK Stockholm in Sweden.

Soccerway claims that he made the bench seven times in Cyprus, but never got on the field.

Louis has joined MFK Vyskov in Czech Republic's 3 Liga after spending the last 6 months at Swope Park in USL

This is Louis' 2nd attempt at playing overseas, as pointed out above, he spent 6 months with Anorthosis in Cyprus

He played 90 minutes today in 4-0 loss away to Hlucin. Full video.... ;)

It is very random that he signed with Vyskov. The Czech Republic 3rd tier does not pay well at all, but Vyskov is a cheap place to live. The level of play isn't bad, and there are many younger players in the league looking to move up.

Vyskov is a good place to start, and if he does well it is a decent place to get noticed.

Which seems the key point, since it looks like Bennett didn't play much for Swope Park. Gotta start somewhere.

As far as I can tell, he is no longer with Vyskov. The season restarts next weekend after a long winter break and he has not played in any friendlies since January.

Wow, his career path is an interesting one. It looks like he just finished his PDL season with OKC Energy's U23 team, scoring 8 goals and assisting 6 in 14 matches as a left back. Second and first on the team, respectively.

Needless to say, those are impressive numbers from that position. Hopefully this can get him some more looks.

    Stats (with a misspelled name...?):

    Proof of left back-ness:
