just one more thing for people to complain about great! now they will say no soccer because of toxic snow! we will get blamed for this some how.
Anything that has survived 14 years of Barra urine polluting the Anacostia isn't going care about some dirty leftover snow.
yeah, but that's "filtered" beer, rum, and whisky mostly - Science only knows what vile things are inside those snow piles - heck even the road salt is worse than 14 years of Barra pee
With 7 legs, is he like the Michael Phelps of frogs? ... and are you sure it is only a "he"? Alot of Anacostia wildlife is more than one sex
I drove by early this past afternoon. The mounds aren't much smaller than last week, and they're a *lot* nastier-looking. It's just one huge area of disgusting.
I doubt it, the problem is there Ice now, not snow.....think of how long snow lasts at a ski resort after the season, no matter how much it rains..... The only way of getting rid of this snow is to either melt it with that DC Melter (ha, like thatll work) or just move tailgates to the other lots as these things are going no where, nor do I want to be in that lot until its all cleaned up
thank you mr downer....dont you have better stuff to do, like go yell at people at the Swedish embassy?
Is it usually 60+ when it rains up there? I'm thinking three days of rain will help disipate the nasty funk into the ground. It's still going to be a shit hole either way.
Doesn't the "p" in pod stand for "portable"? (Personally, I think the snow is going to be around until June. Ick!)
When it's empty, or packed securely, yes. It would take some real work (and supplies, and space in which to work) to get the Pod and its contents into a moveable state.
usually theres snow on the deeper parts at liberty into late may....and those spots are not even close to as high as these piles are.
The Goffblog (I think) mentioned recently that the District was talking about trying to consolidate what remains with moving equipment, thus enabling the opening of a *portion* of Lot 8. But after they do that, the lot's going to need a ton of reconstruction work.
I don't know -- I haven't been any closer than Independence swinging round to the Whitney Young Bridge. But the Eagles probably do -- they cleaned the snow off the top of our Pod early on. I need to go over there because I'm worried about the condition of some of the stuff in the Pod, and would rather not find out that it needs to be replaced three days before our opener. But if we get relocated to Lot 7 for a while it may not be an issue.
