I learned from that interview that Real Madrid pays their taxes on salary earned. These guys are basically living the dream with no obligations, besides going to play, train and sit at the bench.
Great interview from Don Florentino. The man is a genius. First two acts of business upon being re-elected; renew Zidane and bring back Raul. He knows how to get the fans on his side. He pretty much said Mbappe and Donnarumma are decisions for Zidane to make when he returns to Madrid in a week or so. Letting the manager decide transfers... boy how this guy has changed.
I appreciate how he has changed and adapted. He is following Bernabeu, but adapting it for our times. Also the focus he is putting on youth (spend less now so we don't have to spend 200 million on a player later) is so good to hear. He actually is excited about young talents like Asensio, Theo, even Valverde! All he wants is the best for Real Madrid. He has got it wrong at times over the years, but no one is perfect.
I've been a frequent critic and called for his sacking on a number of occasions, but you can't argue with the results over the last few years. He is also changing and adapting to market conditions; he recognizes that we cannot simply outspend other clubs anymore. All you can really ask for.
looooooool Floro reached out and bitch slapped AS http://www.realmadrid.com/en/news/2...ebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=organico Therefore, any statements or value judgements made by the cited publication in regard to this false information lack any basis and have no other objective than to damage the image of Real Madrid and its president, just as is becoming the norm for this particular media outlet.
They reported that Mourinho signed his contract with us on March 31st 2010, which was when Pellegrini was still employed with us.
Why? That isn't an offensive statement and if he doesn't care to watch women's soccer, that is his prerogative.
In the second stint of his Presidency he has shown he has learned from the first. The league trophy haul isn't what it should be (IMO we should be winning half of all league titles on average), but the past few years has really done wonders for his legacy. And in that period he has made some really big calls and been proven to be right. Best President in world football IMO.
Forbes declare Florentino Perez the best CEO in Spain for 2017 Real Madrid enjoyed a very successful 2017, claiming five trophies, and now the club's president Florentino Perez has earned an individual honour too. The Spanish edition of Forbes magazine listed the best CEOs of last year and Perez came out on top, for his work with ACS, which he founded in 1997. Profitability, innovation and defence of the freedom for businesses to operate were some of the aspects in which the various CEOs were evaluated. "Florentino Perez knew how to combine effort, teamwork and perseverance to place ACS as one of the most important companies in our country," the magazine's editor Andres Rodriguez said. Perez will collect his award at a special dinner on March 1. http://www.marca.com/en/football/real-madrid/2018/02/01/5a72f065e2704e5d408b4680.html

We really have the best President in world football. I’ve thought it for some time. The man oozes class, and his decisions have been brilliant throughout. He has bought and then shifted players like Ozil, Di Maria, James and we haven’t skipped a beat. We haven’t spent much by our standards over the past few years either. Even the Ancelotti/Benitez decision he acted quickly on when he realised it hadn’t worked, gambled bravely on the back up plan (if Zidane didn’t work right after Benitez, he would have been under huge pressure) and didn’t look back.
The Zidane signing can be compared to the Di Stefano signing in my opinion. We bought a winner. 5 Champions Leagues directly related to him. Perez was 10 years ahead of the other club presidents in terms of club management. Like Santiago Bernabeu was.
