winter break confirmed. about bloody time. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/44414487 Premier League clubs will have a winter break in February from the 2019-20 season. The break will be staggered across two weeks, with five matches on the first weekend and five the following weekend. The FA Cup fifth round will be moved to midweek to accommodate the break, with replays being scrapped at that stage.
I feel a winter break would just squeeze more games in a shorter period no? Surely the games not played in Feb, to be played elsewhere
We play our worst games after a break. So if we get a shitty, cold, snowy January and they can't play for a couple of weeks. Then tag that on to a no football Feb. It's going to be fun.
Amazon have the rights to 20 games, surely they must have a few big games in that bundle......I suppose it would be pointless for them to employ their own panel of self proclaimed pundits? Please no Keys and Gray
There's pros and cons to that....... With the two TV subscriptions it does not guarantee all the games live as the rest need to be streamed or via the interweb ( about the same time the bandwidth is seriously compromised).....or watching delayed matches is still possible but I cannae wait for the result Going to the stadium has its ups and downs (particularly coming home as the traffic chocoblock unless you leave early) and the cost if you have couple of kids / missus including tickets meals drinks and travel.....but watching a game at Anfield is always electric from the YNWA before the game, the atmosphere that no other club can replicate
I love the 4:30am games- they're over by 6:30ish, and then you can get on with your day. If you go to bed at 10:30pm the night before, that's still 6 hours of sleep too. All good! Its the 2:30 in the morning games that are a killer.
Pep's back in the building- but Zeljko's still AWOL: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...epijn-Lijnders-amid-Zeljko-Buvac-absence.html
Last thing I read said he was about to become manager of one of the big Turkish clubs. Besiktas IIRC.
didn't happen. from what I've read there's no way he'd take a top job at any club. he HATES talking to the media, has given a total of zero interviews in his whole life. that spotlight's not for him.

Another example of a "pundit" talking out of his ass to fill time. You could argue that Lovren had little to do with France winning yesterday. You can make a strong argument that Lovren was not at fault at all on our loss to Madrid. Two GK howlers and a bike from distance.
