I guess not? But with this midfield, what midfield is he using at the weekend? Clearly Ox seems to be in...

Either way, I was just reacting to the lineup in general. I like Gomez and Moreno for this match, but why that midfield? Pure energy on the weekend with Can, Gini, Ox? Why Mane AND Firmino? I like Lallana starting.

When he proves me wrong and wins tonight and at OT with whatever lineup, I guess I'll have to shut up. At this moment though I'm just confused.

Interesting - Lallana up top? He's terrible in the front 3 if I recall.

    Solanke doesn't make the bench.

It's a fairly strong team. Salah gets a rest. Can't really complain too much.

True. Maybe Milner will play front 3?

I hope Firmino doesn't stay in too long. His endurance is remarkable, but surely he could use a bit of a break.

Squad had a recharging ten day break recently - so maybe they are feeling good and all chomping at the bit ...

Yeah, good point. Hope you're right!

Still see no reason for Bobby and Mane to be in there, at the very least. But it is the CL, and it is a celebration fixture. Could be for the supporters.

Fox Sports Go is having its usual glitches.

Uninspiring start. I imagine it's hard to get up for a game like this.

We've had a couple of "scares" - but Karius is really quick off his line.

Knock the ball around all night for all I care.

LFC still with the best chances to score. Gomez has put in a couple good crosses from the right.

Mane should have scored. It's coming though.

No stoppage time. First half ends scoreless. This is comfortable, at least.

As anticipated. Porto no threat, LFC knocking it around.

Would've liked to see Solanke and even Woodburn get some gametime, how often does this club have fixtures with which to really experiment? Not understanding Klopp's selections but at the very least they have the game mostly by the throat despite no goals... can't argue with that I guess.

Woodburn has been ill recently; it could still be keeping him out (like Wijnaldum).
