Yeah regardless of a man United’s form, we know it’s going to be miserably difficult game and they will be looking to fluke a goal somewhere or another. It’s going to be a very ugly game and they will make it that way on purpose. We just need to hold our composure and get the three points somehow.

their players will be really up for this game, regardless of what that prick tells them to do. to them this is a cup final game. even Pogba (if he's selected of course) will actually put real effort in. gonna be very hard but at least we have a few days to prep.

any news on TAA, Millie and Matip yet? last I can find was post-game:

Jürgen Klopp admits the knock sustained by Trent Alexander-Arnold towards the end of Liverpool’s 1-0 win over Napoli will require further assessment.

The full-back needed to be replaced by Dejan Lovren in the 90th minute of the contest after appearing to pick up an injury to his foot.

Joel Matip was also involved in a collision in the final seconds of the game, while James Milner was forced from the pitch with cramp; however, Klopp is confident neither player has a serious issue.

Asked about the knocks sustained by his players, the manager told his post-match press conference: “I’m not sure. Nobody told me anything about [Joel’s] shoulder, so hopefully that’s a good sign.

“Trent got a knock on his foot, we are not sure about what exactly it is. It is painful.

“Millie had cramps – I hope it was only cramp. That was it, I don’t know anything else.”

I always dread this game because Mou is such a miserable prick to play against and seems to always find a way to frustrate us in these games. I'm expecting 0-0 but I want to win so bad. 1-0, 2-0, 8-0, makes no difference to me. Just beat these fools.

that's ok - just means we have no cover at CB - maybe Fabinho.

Yeah, it wouldn't surprise me if he came out trying to attack for a change up.

Terrible news. He just had his two best games in a while and now he reminds us of how injury prone he is. Speaking of injury prone, relying on Lovren with the volume of games that is coming up is a scary thought.

    Can Milner play center back?

he would be the logical choice - but apparently people say they havent seen him much lately in the youth leagues - and to be fair he wasn't that good during the preseason (had to make a lot of last ditch tackles after being beaten). It was a nice story.

In any case - he could be on the bench - hope he wouldn't be needed.

Apparently its the only position he hasn't played at top level. So why not!

feel bad for Matip, now we have 2 CBs who have been playing at top form in the physio table.

god help us if Virgil gets crocked.

When will the next champions league game be? VVD is out because of yellow cards. Who will partner Lovren?

It'll be February 12-13 or February 19-20. Hopefully Gomez and/or Matip will be ready by then.

Klopp will need a plan for centerback just like he did at right back. He knew Trent couldn’t play every game and that is true for Lovren also. I don’t like the idea of Fabinho playing there because it took over 3 months for him to learn what is expected of him in midfield, so changing his position again wouldn’t help.

Klopp was impressed with Nat Phillips, but throwing him into a title race is a big ask.

Any news on Trent’s injury. I hope he’s ready to start. If not it will be Milner. The team is hard to predict for this one. Maybe something like this:

    Allison
    TAA Lovren VVD Robertson
    Henderson Fabinho
    Mane Firmino Keita
    Salah
