92' ball goes back to liverpool third (liverpool possession), gomez clearance is blocked, throw in and clearance leads to genk possesssion

cross in from genk left is cleared by VVD

genk maintaining possession and attacks, until long ball goes out for lfc throw
2 and a half of 3 mins of extra time left

    FT 2-1.

was nice to see a win without all the 'stars' starting, but christ we rode our luck at times, even though we dominated fantastically

Too close of a 2 to 1 game with all of our possession and dominance…
Need to find our scoring shoes for our next game...good result overall, but where are the goals?

Salah's dried up a bit. He's not having a bad season but just doesn't show that same.. idk, that he had 2 years ago. Last year he was good, still a great season, but Im wondering if we'll ever see such a dominant season like that ever again from him

Napoli 1-1 RB. Liverpool top of table.

I think we're just looking at very fine lines, I thought Salah was very good today. Created the goal, multiple great dribbles, great hold up play... LFC just a bit unlucky this match, and that can happen. Easily could have been a 3 or 4-1 kind of affair, with Salah's movement, passing, and dribbling creating/contributing to all the goals.

as I said before, felt like early 2000's, and was a bit of fun. Kinda a trip to remember that some of us have been on this board for over 10 years, and how watching football has come on leaps and bounds. Maybe we'll all chip in with another MBM like that for you again in the future ;)

I think when Salah goes into these "dips" in form (that's how high of a bar he's set for himself), it's just minor tweaks he needs to make. He still tries to do too much and overthinks things a bit. He'll sort it out, just hope it's sooner than later.

If we draw the next one we only need that to qualify. Npoli could then beat us ten - nil or 1-0 and the outcome would be the exact same....

No reason they shouldn't beat Napoli at Anfield. Would be job done, then huge rest/rotation in the final away matchday.

Really appreciated it. Funny after all the years without TV then suddenly if seemed we had 2 games a week. Now with this advent of pay for shitty streaming we're back where we started.
    Thanks again.

There is still work to do in the group. Beating Napoli at Anfield would be huge because we would clinch the group and could use the League Cup team in Salzburg.

If we lose to Napoli and Salzburg beat Genk, Salzburg will have a chance to knock us out.

Agree. But thought there were a few signs of top form Salah today. Hopefully he will come good soon.

But to be fair, don't think the team as a whole has hit top form yet this season ..........

Job done, a bit wasteful at times but these European matches gimmes no more.

Now, if'n we could beat Napoli at home, we'd almost be hosed and dusted giving us the chance to rest key players and blood youngsters.

Allison made a couple of really good saves in the second half - Adrian was great for us obviously - but Allison's cat like reflexes are amazing. And his footwork and kicking as well.
