when Mane went down, i think Firmino did more to take up the slack than anyone.else. as far as goal and assists are concerned it's about a tie between him and Gini. i think we haven't seen the best of the Dutchman...

Been a while since I've been this happy at season end. Not only CL, but finishing above Arse & Scum to also very satisfying. Future is very bright Merseyside.

Whichever dumbass compiled the table doesn't seem to know when 3rd and 4th tie, it's called equal 3rd! :ROFLMAO:

The TV money is high due to the 29 epl games televised live for Liverpool this season, highest for any club....I don't know how the rights are distributed worldwide

The red in the new Jersey is more prominent than I initially imagined

The 'red' used in 'the' new Jerseys is more prominent than I initially imagined

autocorrect and predictive typing aside, there was no reason to type your post

I don't like it, probably for that reason. It's always been distinctive so why mess with it ffs.

Yup, choice of color was unfortunate. Design is great though.

gee, thanks. i'm always ready for constructive comments.

look, it wasn't particularly funny or germane, but it was harmless, so, live and let live, maybe.

there are at least a dozen folks in this forum who will tell you that the stinky cheese man is a goofball, trying too hard to garner some chuckles for his "pointless" scribbling.

after a long, long stint as a civil servant in a criminal justice agency, i am now a substitute teacher and am around teenagers 6.5 hours a day, five days a week. they have added immeasurably to my quirkiness.

if you happen to be amused by those "pointless" postings, great. OTOH, you might agree or disagree with my thoughts on football, or as we Yanks call it, sawker.

this is my second incarnation on BS. the first was as "royalstilton", a name i chose for its ironic content, plus i like the cheese. i first joined BS in Aug of 2004. in the 12+ years as an active member, i have made something like 14000 posts. i only have an aggregate total of about 3000 rep points*, so i'm a piker in that regard. the Liverpool forum champ is probably liverbird, but he's much more level headed than i am.

    here's to enjoying each other...

    * it is possible that i lost some points in the shuffle. who cares, right???

Where to start? How do I dissect your scribbling? Firstly, teaching students in the 12 - 16 year group is a challenge particularly in the UK (minus the First set and gcse students)

Your comment on 'yanks' & ' sawker ' suggests (or I may be wrong) that you assume I have an issue with or I consider your opinion of little significance due to this?....again you are way of the mark

And you have been posting/frequenting this site on a regular basis for a number of years so kudos to you

i have no pretensions regarding your view of me as a Yank or my minimally informed views on football. i've been watching the sport since the early 70s, but never having played, i only know it as a spectator. the first WC i watched was 1978, and here in SoCal, the only TV was Spanish-language. fortunately that has changed*, but i have watched/listened to Andres Cantor and his poet of a partner, Norberto Longo, many many times.

you don't know me personally, but, trust me, i'm hilarious. sometimes -- ask my wife -- i miss the mark.

    *OTOH, Alexi Lalas
