FT 4-0 Liverpool U-23s over Stoke at Stoke MOTM Solanke with a hat trick Clyne goes a full 90 at RB and looked good Gomez dominant at CB Herbie Kane quite good as the #6 Curtis Jones excellent at #8. Real box to box player. Couple of assists. Only 17 but almost as tall as Solanke. Bobby Adekanye came on and scored a brilliant 4th goal. Quite a good weekend for LFC. At all levels.
Liverpool Under-23s to take title race to the wire after comfortable mini Merseyside derby triumph https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/liverpool-under-23s-take-title-14539453
Was a good game. Jones, Woodburn, Lewis, and Camacho are all very good prospects between 17-19 years old.
Glad to hear that Woodburn and the oher youngsters are doing well...Hopefully another one or two break into the “starters circle” next year...
Today watched our U-18s beat ManU at Kirby An early goal came from a great cross from the left by Adam Lewis. Liam Millar, the young Canadian, got a touch to turn it home. ManU got a deflected equalizer and it was 1-1 at the half. In the 53rd minute, Rhys Williams was shown a straight red that was questionable. Our lads defended like lions and at the 75th minute Adam Lewis played a great long ball releasing Rafa Camacho. Camacho beat 3 men and buried a rocket far post. Lewis was my MOTM but Jones, Millar, Dixon-Bonner, and Camacho were very good. The surprise was Remy Savage. He is a Scouser who started with the 16s this year. A big lad and just turned 16 he was exceptional at center half. YNWA
U-23s beat Chelsea 5-1 today. Bobby Adenkenje, Yan Danda with a PK and a sweet strike, and center back George Johnston with two headers from corners. Adam Lewis who has been playing as a left back was dominant as the right side attacker in a 4-3-3. Herbie Kane also showed well controlling the midfield. Most of these lads started the year playing in the 18s. Good afternoon of football broadcast from Anfield.
I've read some concerning articles re Rhian Brewster this week. According to this one his Academy Scholarship is nearing its end and apparently Brewster has twice declined to sign a pro deal with Lpool so speculation is he'll be leaving in the near future . Very disappointing if true cos this kid has huge potential. https://www.footballinsider247.com/liverpool-trigger-clause-in-brewster-contract/
Liverpool consider reporting Borussia Monchengladbach for illegal approach to Rhian Brewster . https://www.telegraph.co.uk/footbal...r-reporting-borussia-monchengladbach-illegal/
Brewster has agreed a new deal that will keep him at Liverpool until 2023. I think Klopp will have him in the first team squad this season.
This is like a signing for the first team. He has potential for all three forward positions in our attack. If we were buying him from somewhere I would say this was good business
He still isn't going to make that much of an impact this year - coming off a big injury, still only 17/18 and pretty slight of frame. He will need a lot of games before he is ready for the first team.

Did Klopp really say he has “a lot of body he can swap into muscle” when referring to Curtis Jones?.....that's a classic line

erm .... eh? I just repped your post then got puzzled so I checked on the official site .... the U18s play PSG at 3pm EST today, what game are you watching?
The Uefa Youth League game. Finished 5-2. https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/academy/317030-match-report-liverpool-psg-uefa-youth-league
what a load of bullshit refereeing .... The Red’s under-19s played in the UEFA Youth League earlier this afternoon – and were robbed by one of the worst refereeing decisions you’re ever likely to see. Bobby Adekanye had put Barry Lewtas’ side in front before referee Marius Avram – of Romania – had a few moments of madness. Seconds from the end of the game, the referee allowed Napoli to score despite there being two balls on the field on play, causing confusion, with the ball ultimately going into the net. Those in Red were left dismayed at the referee’s lack of a whistle as he simply allowed the game to go on.
