U23s with an inspired second half-performance drew 2-2 with Southampton, coming down from 2-0 down. Wilson was quite good, actually. He's near to the first team.
http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/spor...light-brooks-lennon-fellow-liverpool-12908207 Brooks Lennon scores his first goal for Real St Lake. Andre Wisdom is on the cusp of winning the Austrian title with Red Bull Salzburg after impressing in their 2-0 win at Wolfsberger.
Been to the north, during this Easter half-term, and I have watched a couple of Barnsley matches. Kent isn't too shabby-- actually, he's quite good. Next season will be big for him.
A bit like Coutinho without the end product as yet, although he created a few chances in the two matches I saw. Not brisk but tends to use close control and shimmies to beat his man and can shield the ball quite well, and that he does quite regularly.
Ovie Ejaria and Sheyi Ojo return to action for Liverpool U23s this evening http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/ovie-ejaria-sheyi-ojo-return-12938653
So after yesterday the U -23s bounce back with a 3-2 victory over Cit€h. MOTM Ben Woodburn. Only 17 he looked a man among boys. Scored 2 goals and made the attack that led to Matty Virtue getting the game winner. Grujic, Gomez, Ejaria, Ojo, and TAA all played well. Rian Brewster was excellent, making one of the goals for Woodburn and involved in the play that led to the Virtue goal. Gribara was outstanding in goal, which seems strange with the score, but they only scored thru a penalty and a botched corner (sound familiar?) Randall, Matt Phillips and Jordan Williams played well also. Special mention for Harry Wilson. The lad works hard and was an unselfish leader throughout.
These U-23 games seem more entertains/a better watch than the first team games...how do you watch them?

I just hope to see Huddersfield win the playoff and Ward play regular PL football next season. I think the kid is likely to be better than Mings and is at the equal of Karius, if not better.
Brooks Lennon had a goal (his second of the tournament) for the USA in the U-20 World Cup. USA beat New Zealand 6-0 in the round of 16. USA has a kid named Josh Sargent. Remember the name. 17 and a complete striker. Going to Werder Bremen when he turns 18
