You ain't missed much. Eduardo and Vietto with a couple of long range efforts but that's it. We have tons of possession against an Aves side sitting back, but our "mobile" forwards just stand still waiting for the ball to come to them and Aves has defended easily. Even Bruno hasn't been inspired.

True. We have a game against LASK on Thursday and then a long break for the national team. At this point if we look at the balance of players that came in: Vietto - alternates between moments of brilliance and quiet periods but him and Bruno have the most quality Camacho - 5 mill spent on this guy, a deal that apparently took 7 months to complete... for what? Rosier - better than Thierry and Ristovski, has potential, French U21 international can still develop more Eduardo - has barely played but today finally showed something and Silas knows him very well from Belenenses Luis Neto - decent backup option at this point, low cost Fernando - the wonderkid from Shakthar who hasn't been called up yet after a month Bolasie - has been influential at least, won the PK and of the three loans has been clearly the brightest Jese - what happened to this guy? what a flop.
Silas is a good coach. I wouldn't count Sporting out just yet. Benfica and Porto have been scraping wins. Silas is hungry for success. Jese Rodriguez is also an amazing pick-up in my honest opinion.
So far he's appeared overweight and inconsequential. But I hope I'm wrong and you're right though. Side note - it was refreshing at least to see a coach making subs at the 60th minute and all 3 subs before 75 minutes to try and win the game at least.
He is losing weight. I think 2nd half of the season he will come good for Sporting. Silas is a good manager. He reminds me of a young Mourinho when he was at UD Leiria and Porto.
Not much point of coming alive in the 2nd half when the season is over and he's on loan though, is there?
Be positive. Look at Famalicao. Their fans believed and now they are in first place and will challenge for the liga. Confidence is key. Sporting is only 8 points or so off the pace. Not a big gap. Plenty of futebol left. I predict Sporting will mount a title challenge. Silas is a good coach. This season it can go either way between one of the big 3 clubs and Famalicao.
I don't think you've seen us play this year. We have been subpar at best. I really hope Silas does well but he is no miracle worker. Bruno Fernandes is all we got and I feel bad for the guy because he plays with all his heart... dont know about the other guys. I think Jese is overrated... he had one good season with Madrid, that's it. Again, I really hope these guys prove me wrong but I'm not confident in him.

Acura with goal literally minutes after the first. Vietto with another nice pass. When he is on, he is a fantastic player. Just needs to be more consistent
