Ok, here is the final thread.

Come here in peace to talk about the game and not the turf, the swine flu or any of that stuff.

    If you wanna do that...

Best of luck, buena suerte, boa sorte to both teams.

    Cheers.

In all seriousness, I have no specific preference: I was hoping la U would at least make the final to do Chile proud but that's obviously a moot point now.

I am just hoping for 2 well-played games now.

Simon, im just enjoying to be in the final, not taking any second for granite. I want to win of course, but its nice to live a final(its been so long). One team will come out champion(inter/chivas), but lets hope its a nice hard fought final, it should be great.

In all honesty, I like that a Mexican team has made the final. I feel that the Libertadores does not get the coverage it deserves outside South America and Chivas in the final will help.

It also helps to get Brazilian Club teams out there too. Its a shame that Brazilian Clubs...where soccer is most famous....are lessed recognized around the world than some crap European teams.

    My Prediction:

A Tough game in Guadalajara....maybe a 1x1 tie. If that happens...or even a 2 x 1 Chivas win....in Porto Alegre Inter is gonna massacre Chivas fueled by crazed Inter fans in the Stand. IF Inter win in Mexico its all but over.

Its a shame that Inter had to find one more thing to cry about... I was going to root for them to win since they are representing Brazil but now I am not to sure after this..

honestly being a south american tournament they dont want the cup to go to Mexico so they are going to do anything possible to keep it there like they did against cruz azul in 2001. In that game they favored Boca never calling any of the fouls the commited. So i think we're going to see the same thing here. I hope chivas wins it and hope that the copa libertadores people play fair.

Really, I know it's not all their fans who are this way, but it's enough to where you hope some Mexican club wins one, so they stop playing the victim once and for all.

If who favors them? LMAO!!! Worst than welfare recipents!!! Victims for life!! and the biggest flat out robbery to date was the 1990 final between Barcelona v Olimpia of Paraguay. 1 legitimate goal was called outside, A penalty that was not called and Ever hugo Almeida moving 6 feet ahead when a penalty was taken. All this in the second leg.. So if it not worst than this than I don't want to hear shit!!

Yeah, you are right. I probably won't watch the game. Currently don't have high speed in my vacation home. and I'll be damn if I tune into foxsports down here... I'll be out in the gulf "trying" to fish and getting drunk. You deal with the whiners, victims, etc..etc.. PEACE!!

A little advice, first let the game be played and then comment on the refs. It might help you not look like a ...a...a...

PS. Dont live in the past dude, open your eyes, it is beautiful out here, but you have to open your eyes. Christ Almighty

This thread was somehow incomplete without the infamous "Mexican Football fan's victim sindrome" :D

Anyway, I almost want Chivas to win, so perhaps some mexicans will get over their tiresome self-pity
