I went to the Salvation Army thrift store and got me a Palmeiras Polo for $2.00 and I'm going to predict that not only Palmeiras will win the Copa do Brasil, but also the Copa Libertadores as well!!!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

2-0 lead and I'm still scared shitless. That sums up Fla in the Libs.

Lol. And Romulo had some marcio araujo like give aways in the second half and I was surprised how quick your back 4 recovered. San Lorenzo was even moving the ball well at times and they didn't get many openings.

Fox was ripping Diego and now there are saying it was his best performance at Fla and he was the craque of the game. What a joke!

Congrats, @Mengão86. A goleada which you certainly enjoyed. Never a bad to see Flamengo, a team I've had a soft spot for since 1981, to destroy an opponent in Maracanã.

Thumbs up to Palmeiras for surviving with 10 men and to Atl.-MG for coming back from behind to draw. Both bring a valuable point from Argentina.

Santos and Grêmio tonight. Hope both win.

I wanted to see gremio struggle but their group is looking very comfy. Extremely weak even by recent libertadores standards I mean come on.

Santos drew with Cristal. Thiago Maia goal after struggling for most of the match. Too much talent for Santos to look clueless out there against these opponents.

    A decent week for 7 of Brazil's 8 contestants.

    Chapecoense wins 1-2 at Zulia
Flamengo wins 4-0 vs. San Lorenzo
    Grêmio wins 2-0 at Zamora
Atl.-MG draws 1-1 at Godoy Cruz
Palmeiras draws 1-1 at Atl. Tucuman
Atl.-PR draws at home 2-2 vs. U. Catolica
Santos draws 1-1 at Sporing Cristal

Granted, Atl.-PR gave away the win after being up 2-0 until the last minutes. But Palmeiras showed its mettle with 10 men in hostile soil and Santos and Atl.-MG both did not lose away. Kudos to Chapecoense for its first-ever win in its first-ever group stage match in the Libertadores.

7 Brazilian teams played and none of them lost. Atl.-PR the biggest "loser" as it lost 2 points when it had 3 in the bag.

Botafogo starts next week, hosting Estudiantes on the 14th.

Fla always conceding to Santiago Silva or some whack striker and get a red card in the Libs. Rafael Vaz was totally exposed in this game.

Palmeiras bailed out at the last minute. Mina looked offsides to me.
