Lenski back in Holland

Discussion in 'Canada' started by feyenoordsoccerfan, Jul 17, 2009.

  1. Lenski returned to Holland to rejuvenate his Euro soccer career.

  2. Lenski has impressed the staff of FC Utrecht. In an article in the "AD Sportwereld" it was mentioned that he had troubles with the pressure of playing for Feyenoord resulting in odd pains in his legs. Perhaps a club with a lesser stature like FC Utrecht will do him good.
In that article he also said something that is going to hurt Canadian soccer fans. He said something like .. that things with the Canadian FA makes him prefer to play for the Czec team if he has the chance...

Hopefully he changes his mind if Hart is made head coach. It sad how good the canadian could be if the CSA weren't run by idiots.

He has a long way to go to reach the class required to be selected by the Czech national team, but even then he may just refuse to be involved with the Canadian NT.

Honestly, has there been another footballing nation out there who has seen that much talent flee to other nations? This is just incredible.

Seems to be some misinformation here. The CSA hasn't too much to do with this guy (he was called to U20).

This is my conjecture, he was brainwashed and pushed by his Czech father because, of course, nothing in Canada is as good as the auld country (which for some mysterious reason he left)

They say his brother was a good player as well and crashed and burned (pushed too hard?). Lensky is a head case and even though he has talent, I don't know if he could be trusted when the chips are down.

The CSA is a convenient excuse for the mercenaries and uninformed posters. I don't recall hearing anything bad since Peter Montopoli took over.

Really only Fernandes has much of a case as there was opportunity to call him that was not taken but that doesn't excuse what he did. Rob Friend wasn't called several times and he didn't "defect". The Whore and JDG2 are mercenaries although JDG2 at least became a citizen to play for another country and I have no problem with that.

As for the amount of players leaving, it is quite small. Might get bigger with the more depth we get but who cares, we'll have depth.

That quote sounds like it was taken from some time ago. He showed up for our Olympic qualifiers. He has quite a hill to climb in terms of establishing himself with anybody before we start crying over his loss.

You can take the Czech out of Canada but you can't take the Canada out of the Czech.

    Czechs drink alot too...

This kid is a serious head case, good riddance.

  11. And he's going back to Canada. He agreed with FC Utrecht to tear up his contract and returns to Canada to get his life back on track.

Yup, good ol' Canada. Good enough to take advantage of free healthcare and detox but not good enough to play soccer for. GREASY!
