Fede found himself clear and tried the backheel pass instead of taking the ball forward. I'd be pissed as a coach. Game was tight and not the time for him to be cute.
Good job, we are in the quarter finals now. Looking forward to the next game. Solari does good to gradually introduce newcomers, not throw them out onto the pitch from the first game. It is always ok to lose a game as long the result does not affect the final outcome and you get to see what can be improved or changed. We are doing just fine. This is basically Castilla playing. I don't get all the complaints and moaning and end of the world comments. Isco was miserable and can leave now, thank you for the service.
Vinicius beating defenders and also being unselfish(Lucas goal in first leg, pass to Brahim today) has been a positive in this stretch. Benz, Bale, Mariano and Asensio out still so we are thin in attack.
yeah.. he needs to work on his first touch - that should have been a goal. I think someone here had already mentioned that..
Because deflecting all the things that are going on with the team to the goalkeeper discussion and throwing the dice until Keylor gets a bath back there is a rational thought.
When your team sucks .. a great keeper makes a difference and can impact the outcome of a match.. This is how Keylor became widely known.. making all those impressive saves with Levante and then with Costa Rica at the world cup..
Isco being slotted in with as much care as a plumber has for the duct tape and it's been that way for much of his time in this team. At this point he's reciprocating.
If anyone wanted to know what I meant when I said Brahim should leave his heavy first touch (and passes) in England.... Well... Now you know.
Why can't I be put in cryo sleep and awoken after this season is over. I can't resist watching and when I watch its...…….. torture.
Didn't want to pass the opportunity to sign him for relatively cheap. Odegaard is already under contract so no worry of missing out on a talent. This is pretty much a policy now. We are looking to sign pretty much all the promising young talents if the price isn't very high. Some snubbed us like G.Jesus, Isak and Sancho. Now the tricky part is choosing which players to keep as there will only be few spots and also developing the best ones either via first team like Vinicius or through loan(Asensio at Espanyol).
Haha perfectly sums up how I feel about this whole year. Sadly enough I don't know next year will be better with some of the choices that have been made so far.
Need to start with the coaching hire. Even if we add couple of stars, a wrong coach can make the team play torturous football as Benitez showed.
He was probably just extremely nervous since it would have been his first goal. I doubt his first touch is really that heavy under 0 pressure from defenders at this level lol.
I have watched him play in England. Go to his thread and see what my initial concerns and comments were before he ever played for Madrid.
For all the complaining was it even clear what Isco's role in the team was last night? He seemed to occupying the heres-our-11th-player-cause-we-sort-of-need-another-guy-so-its-equal role....
His role was to fail. To be a scapegoat. See i am playing Isco as you wanted and we lost -> when i play Isco we lose -> i am right...bla..bla..bla... Which is one of the reasons i see Solari as politician and not a coach.
In hindsight, this would have been the ideal season for Odegaard. I actually feel for the kid, as he won't get a chance with the potential huge (and necessary) summer transfers (if Perez goes on a classic transfer spree).
Why is this Leganes defender complaining about Vilnius? I don't even remember him showing off. Having the ability to take on defenders is a crime now? https://cadenaser.com/ser/2019/01/17/deportes/1547722335_117131.html
