    Ruben Sosa, the Uruguayan, was a fine left footed player if I recall correctly. My apologies if he's already been mentioned.

    I'm not sure about that, I would have thought he was right-footed.

    I did check the W Germany 2-1 England friendly from 1978 and Bonhof was definitely right-footed.

    But I noted a player in the England side that appeared to be left-footed: Peter Simon Barnes.

    I can guarantee that Rainer was a righty, but did u guys know he was originally a Dutch who afterwards got the West German citizenship?:cool:

    Anyway, the famous German midfielder for being a lefty from the WC78 squad were Heinz Flohe and Hansi Müller.

    Another great lefty from the past was the ex-Yugoslavia's Slovenian Maestro Branco Oblak.
