German supporters are amazing. This stadium is filled to the top with 57,000 to watch a league 2 match. K-League needs to take note.

Some players need to take the long road. Many japanese players has taken that route, B2-B1, look at Inui for instance. Rest is history.

Yes, but Germany and Korea possess different football cultures. I'm afraid it will be very difficult for K-league authorities to design and implement a policy that will improve second division attendance by observing Bundesliga2.

Kinda thought he shoulda shot but if you serve up a perfect assist, I guess I can't complain. On replay looked tougher to score than I thought.

2 assists and against one of the best team in the league, if this doesn't sound promising....

the irony in lee jaesungs performance against hamburg is they probably could have saved themselves from relegation by purchasing lee jaesung last season. they have a scouting team who come by korea each year to watch end of season youth tournaments and the club have been linked to just about every korean player out there. its clear they are invested in the country but they somehow ignored the top performer in the country. instead they chose to spend many transfer periods signing bunch of players with many shortcomings and end up in the second division. this is complete incompetency that would not be accepted anywhere. somewhere deep im hoping augsburg is next to go. another club that was previously very consecrated in korea but opts to waste their small budget signing bums

im very bitter lee jaesung had to be snubbed by top flight clubs of europe especially bundesliga ones. many german clubs have scouts stationed in korea for 1-2 months of the year. what are they even doing here when they cant even convince their employers to consider looking into top player in the country

I am very happy for him. What a debut. Let's hope he stays healthy and builds upon this.

Also, I think his career decision to accept a pay-cut to go to Europe can set a good example to younger Korean players. Granted LJS has military issue off his shoulders, but I watched 원투펀치 where one of the guy said that a significant barrier to Korean players transferring to Europe may be one of professional attitude.

According to Korean sources (so I dont know how accurate), HSV wanted to sign Lee last winter but he chose to stay because he didn't want to get benched a few months before WC (the risk was there considering HSV was fighting for survival).
