Unless Bolton receive an offer they can't refuse I don't see him going anywhere. He's going to be instrumental in earning promotion. If they don't come straight back up the odds of promotion the next season probably plummets.
Damn. I'm so disappointed. It's looking to turn out like I didn't want it to. Although it makes sense that he'll help his team out but still... Oh well, I'm hoping he still gets called up play for the NT, as good performances there will certainly help him out.
Don't worry, when he's 100% healthy he'll be on the NT for sure. He's one of our best players, and probably the only winger on our squad that can consistently beat his man off the dribble.
http://soccernet.espn.go.com/columns/story/_/id/1130867/championship-2012-13:-club-by-club Nothing new being said... [Quotes:] Bolton Manager: Owen Coyle Position last season: 18th (Premier League, relegated) Players in: Matt Mills (Leicester), Keith Andrews (West Brom), Andy Lonergan (Leeds), Benik Afobe (Arsenal, loan). Players out: Jussi Jaaskelainen, Paul Robinson, Nigel Reo-Coker, Ricardo Gardner, Robbie Blake, Gretar Steinsson, Sean Davis, Ivan Klasnic, Tope Obadeyi. After the heartbreak comes the hard work as Bolton set about regaining their place in the Premier League. It helps that a slimmer, younger squad has been stripped of some of its underachievers while some stalwarts, such as captain Kevin Davies, have chosen to remain. If Stuart Holden and Lee Chung-Yong, whose long absences were a cause of their demotion, play the majority of the campaign then they should be challengers. If both leave in January, as is possible, then Bolton may be resigning themselves to an extended stay in the second tier. Much rests on Marvin Sordell, barely trusted by Owen Coyle last season, to reproduce his fine form for Watford and England Under-21s, while David Ngog, still yet to score at the Reebok, owes Wanderers a few goals. They will be required if Bolton are to make a swift return to the elite. Key Man: Matt Mills. The most expensive defender in the Championship when he joined Leicester last summer, Mills had a disastrous year. He joins a Bolton back four who had a miserable time and who will be without David Wheater until 2013. Both have a point to prove. One to Watch: Gregg Wylde. Owen Coyle has an eye for a winger and Wylde, one of the first to leave Rangers, should form part of the supply line. If Lee or Chris Eagles goes, the Scot will grow in importance. [End/Quotes]
Your chance to put your question to Chung-Yong Lee via the club's official Twitter account Chung-Yong Lee is set to kick-off the club’s popular returning #Ask series on Twitter in #AskChungy ahead of the season’s opener at Burnley this weekend. The Korean winger will assume control of the club’s Twitter account on Thursday 16 August and with your help will partake in an interactive question and answer session. If you’ve got a question for Chungy, simply tweet it @OfficialBWFC and include #AskChungy in your message. When the session comes to an end, Chungy will then select his favourite question with a unique item of memorabilia up for grabs. Who’s Chungy’s best friend in football? Who was his role model growing up? What does Chungy make of life in Bolton? What will you #AskChungy?
Kinda expected but still... http://www.bwfc.co.uk/news/article/fabrice-muamba-statement-15.8.12-313804.aspx
Good luck Fabrice! He'll be a success in the next stage of his life I'm sure... Now that Bolton are short one midfielder, time for a bid on Park Jong Woo??? Owen Coyle, make it happen...
http://www.teamtalk.co.za/news/2483/7992445/Stoke-target-Whites-flyer-Lee reliability of TEAMtalk as a source? I know they play hoofball, but at least it's EPL?
Reliability I assume is near zero... and I dunno how they said eagles would start ahead of him. LCY has only played with the second string just once this season.
No reliability at all. But just to entertain the thought... I guess if LCY ends up at Stoke, he/we wouldn't have to worry about suffering as many WTF tackles since Stoke has so many enforcers willing to make reducers on the squad...
Despite the very casual looking handle, he's the teamtalk writer who also appears to do stoke related freelance work for skysports.
15.54: Stoke are in talks with Bolton regarding the possible signing of South Korea winger Lee Chung-yong, according to our colleagues on Teamtalk. That would be a cracking signing. http://www.football365.com/transfer-blog/7990355/The-F365-Transfer-Blog Hopefully no pun intended...
Mark Holmes @Homzy @SonHyunSeok_ I can't tell you how I know, but Stoke are 100% trying to make the deal happen. https://twitter.com/Homzy
https://twitter.com/reluctantnicko any truth in contact from Stoke for Chungy Al? None at all http://www.wsc.co.uk/wsc-daily/979-Janua....ton-for-burnley The other character in all of this is Alan Nixon, a journalist who often writes for the Mirror and People. When Coyle first appeared fans quickly noted that all of our transfer exclusives were being broken by Nixon who had no previous links to the club. This was quickly followed by Nixon becoming a regular contributor to the Burnley matchday programme. In his recent book, Big Club, Small Town and Me, club director Brendan Flood says that it was Nixon who first suggested Coyle for the Burnley job with an unsolicited email. And Stoke may have not reached out yet... the teamtalk guy didn't sound like it had gotten far. Anyways, as always a big grain of salt around this time of the year. I won't stress about such things until a more legit outlet prints it.
