Elvis has entered the building ?? :D

Two minutes before the transfer deadline, Rune "Elvis" Hagen (the brother of the Norwegian international Erik "Panzer" Hagen) faxed his Norwegian 1st division club Strømsgodset the message that he had signed with the Danish Superliga club Herfølge. The Sports director at Herfølge now confirm that they have signed a 2½-year contract with the 29-yo Norwegian.

According Herfølge, it was possible to sign Rune Hagen because he had a clause in his contract, allowing him to leave Strømsgodset to join a foreign club, in case he was able to get a contract, and as long as he would notify Strømsgodset in time. However, in Strømsgodset they are shocked by losing Hagen this way..

-"It's not just the management, who is surprised and disappointed, Rune has also disappointed the supporters of the club with his behaviour in this matter" Strømsgodset write on their website.

The Herfølge sport director, Per Rud, says that they dont feel involved in this battle between the club and Hagen.

    - Ther is no dispute between the clubs. If ther is a dispute, it's only a matter between the player and the club where he has been for many years. In Herfølge we can only ensure that the documents are in order; the papers, that has to be send in time and that sort of thing, and then we wish to keep a low profile to support the player" Per Rud says to bold.dk.

Swedish player Antouman Jallow just signed a contract with a Allsvenskan club. I believe it is Gelfe IF but not sure. He was a draftee in MLS with San Jose Earthquakes but turned their offer down for this one. Does anyone here have any additional info from the Scandanavin press on this?

It is Gefle IF, newcomers to the swedish premier this season. You can find the club's own announcement here. Haven't seen anything in the press yet, but signing seems to be very recent. Maybe more in the weekend editions.

Gefle, btw, is fairly close to his native Uppsala, so it's a bit like returning home.

    Fee: Out of contract
Info: The former South African international captain was released from his contract with Tottenham (9 caps, 1 goal) last fall due to disciplinary matters. Now he has signed a 2 year contract with Vålerenga IF with special modifications, wich include getting into shape, staying out of trouble and obeying by Vålerenga's rules. If he doesn't fulfill these demands, VIF can terminate the contract without him getting a say in it.

Hes strenght must definitly be that he can play overall on the field, hes weakness must be that hes not top class on either of the position but he held good Norwegian league standard overall on the field so a great player to have in the squad.
