http://www.ael.gr/ http://www.larissafc.com/ AEL have won a Greek Cup in 1985, and their biggest crown, a Greek Championship in 1988. They are the ONLY club outside of Athens and Thessaloniki to have won the Greek Championship. Their home ground is the Alkazar stadium. They are installing seats and thus the Alkazar will be an all seater come September. Capacity will be 13,161. Their plans are for a new stadium of 16,500-20,000 at one of two sites in Larissa including on the current location of the Alkazar stadium (though they haven't decided yet). They enjoy a MASSIVE following for a 'provincial club'. Last year they averaged larger crowds than most A'Division clubs. Only the big 3 of Athens and PAOK and Aris of Thessaloniki can match their fanbase. Good signings this summer include Stefanos Kotsolis, the former back-up at Panatha (who is quite good) and former Greece international (as well as Newcastle and Leicester City) Nikos Dabizas.
