Go watch some firesworks this 4th of July as I expect Zlatan and Ola Kamara to absolutely thrash our backline. DVR it or watch the replay on ESPN +

Zlatan gets six goals and in the presser after the game says, “I really enjoyed goal scoring practice, when does the game start?”

Actually, with the way this season has been going, Pontius gets a brace, Birnbaum gets concussed and Kitchen takes out Acosta with a hard tackle that ends Acosta’s season. Of course, with the say this season has been going, DCU wins 3-1 and Sigi the Hutt says DCU is the most cohesive, well coached team LAG has faced all year. YMMV.

    Zoltan - 2
    Zlatan - 1

Is it wrong that I always hope for at least 2 season-ending injuries for L.A.?
Dumb question. No, it's not :)

This is a must not lose game, if we lose I think we’re pretty much at elimination for the playoffs. The only thing giving us a chance is the crowded and shitty field around the redline, one of which does not have the typical ~1.46 PPG we see from a team in their position

You're right, there are 5 statistically good teams and the rest of the conference will be slogging it out for the last spot. But if our ppg averages away and home held true for the rest of the season, we'd end up with 43.27 points, in a dead heat with Chicago at 6th in the east. 6 points in the next 4 games keeps us where we need to be. I'd sure like for us to get one at LA, but it's not critical...yet.

No prematch writeup in the local rag, thanks to Goff and others being on WC duty, so we have no probable lineup. Is Arriola still out? If so, we could be screwed. Our "strength" is our midfield, and Arriola's recent runs as a central midfielder have been a large part of that. And will we finally see Canouse? IIRC, he has been training full time recently.

3 probables on the bench. Acosta apparently switching w Asad.

Last one boys before you’re home, let’s bring home 3 points.

Still might get your wish, but Mattocks will need one too.

Fisher beat again but bailed out. That wasn’t a foul on Pontius. I’d sub Mora on for him.

It was a game for about 5 minutes. Time to bunker in and protect that 1 goal deficit.

I've been paying less and less attention to this team, thanks a) our owners, b) our hapless coaching staff, and c) world cup, but if i may ask,
where's NDL? And why isn't Mora starting? I've seen enough of the Fisher man.
