Probably one of the most important games of the season.

It will be interesting to see what Valverde goes with, specially because we'll be playing Juve 3 days after this match!

    MATS
    Semedo - Mascherano - Umtiti - Alba
    Busquets
    Rakitic - S. Roberto
    Messi - Paco - Deulfeu

I don't think he would risk Suarez after his knock & his long return flight
Mascherano didn't play in the first match against Uruguay and might not play the 2nd game, so I think he starts.
Dembele will be brought on as a sub.

Official match squad. Roberto left out with a minor injury. Denis, Vermaelen and Vidal also omitted:

Amazing how Valverde thinks that Gomes is better than Denis ...

ANYONE is better than Gomes , my god why didn't they loan him or even sent him to Barca B or even C :cautious:

The most important game of the season was the one vs RM in Miami.

Given earlier result from today, first goal will be crucial.

Must win ? Nah. If you think this is must win, then the league is already lost.

Would be nice to win though.

Well with the Bats of Madrid flying down to the sewer to get a point from the Rats, we after the crazy summer we've had we need a win vs those itchy, bloodsucking bedbugs crosstown!! :devilish:

It's not going to be easy, cause those itchy bastards are going to foul, kick and bite throughout the whole match!! I wouldn't be surprise if 1 goal decides this battle!!

    Starters: 1. Ter Stegen 2. Semedo 3. Piqué 4. Rakitic 5. Sergio 8. Iniesta 9. Suárez 10. Messi 16. Deulofeu 18. Alba 23. Umtiti

    Substitutes: 13. Cillessen 11. Dembélé 14. Mascherano 15. Paulinho 17. Alcácer 19. Digne 21. André Gomes

    So this maybe:
    MAtS
    Semedo - Pique - Umtiti - Alba
    Raki - Busi - Ini
    Messi - Suarez - Deulofeu

Dembele to sub on for one of the forwards in 2nd half, probably Luis and reconfigure whole team to Deu-Mess-Demb then. Also think Paulinho will sub on for Ini or Raki and more reconfigurations. Hopefully we have a lead by then and can do more defensive minded subbing. Excited. Let's do this err Visca El Barca!

Six La Masia trained starters, though 3 left and came back: Pique, Alba, Deulofeu; only Messi, Iniesta, and Busquets never left.

My near namesake refs, Gil Manzano, and we've had issues with him.

EDIT - if you have a nice stream pls PM me, mine's a bit laggy. Thanks!

I'd like to see an early lead or else Asspanyol may pull a Hoffenheim (goal against the run of play and we collapse).

From a pressuring the ball point of view, the team looks like it's out to prove something in these first few games. Just can't create scoring chances.

Nice pass from Rakitic, but Messi was offsides there.
