    I remember watching that game live and seeing that Eto'o was lining that shot up and thinking "NO! Come one, don't..."

    But I suppose that audacity is what separates the greats from us mere spectators!

    I feel like Villa pulled off a few of those, too. If not for us, then definitely for Valencia.

    We were extremely lucky on that annulled goal....
    Again, and again we see this is not last season's team. They just never stopped fighting.

    Valverde also reacted to the adverse scoreline and corrected his initial mistake.
    Odriozola was tearing us apart, he did the right thing bringing in Dembele, IMO, because that pinned Odriozola back to defensive duties (could've done it sooner, though).
    That and having Suarez and Messi got the 3 points today.

    Can anyone believe how good Vermaelen has been lately? Just solid. I'm sad to say I'd start him alongside Umtiti when Big Sam comes back. Never thought it possible.

    What did he contribute? The team carried him. Also he had the lowest rating after Pique who didn't have the best game.

    Since they still went ahead 2 x 0 after the annulled goal, I don't consider that missed call influential to the result. At least that's the way I look at those situations.

    Verminator has been great indeed. A good surprise.

    That was what I was thinking after watching the Eto'o one, he really place the CL one against Man U well, same corner, same shape of the shot, but not taken from the same side nor the same run up to it.

    Same here

    5 minutes passed. If they scored 2 minutes would have passed between the goal and celebrations and taking the ball to the center

    Would have they scored a 3rd in less then 3 minutes after they scored the 2nd? Nope
